It was plastic last year and I'll expect it to be again, Here are some other thoughts though the RFID chips did not last, many wristbands had to be replaced. It's easy to find a blue piece of plastic and make it look like a wristband but not so easy to make a cloth band. Roo figures however it is almost impossible to get the plastic one off and give it to someone else. It's not that hard to do.
the flashy one would be cool! it would help light up late nights for sure!! haha
i had a $100 bet with a friend to who could wear the roo wristband the longest. mine finally fell off at north coast music fest around labor day. man did it look like shit though, all falling apart and faded white..
i really hope they go back to cloth. horrible horrible plastic needs to stay away
I liked the cloth wristbands because I was able to save em and sew em into my camelbak, but I didnt mind last years plastic wristbands at all. I thought that theyd be uncomfortable but they werent at all.
Yeah they really need to do Coachella style bands if they NEED to keep the RFID chip.
Agreed. Although it's really easy to sew and RFID tag into a cloth wristband without a big bulky tag like both events had. There are companies doing this kind of thing today using choke points with much wider entrances than the scanners at both venues. I personally think the RFID scanning makes more sense than bracelets without. If they could get their technology crap together that is.
