And katbur2 -I am a big fan of Johnston but when I saw him last year, the deterioration in both his physical and mental health did make it a bit sad to watch him perform. He didn't play any instruments (I don't know if he still does at all) and he sang haltingly from lyrics sheets. His songs were still great (also sad usually, but often quite humorous and enlightening) but I did find it a little depressing. I was happy, though, that despite everything he's been through, he's able to get up at all in front of a large group of people and perform, so that was the yin to the yang.

@lucien Yeah, it's a mixed bag I expect. I've worked with folks like him, though he is clearly functioning on a higher level than most of my guys.
