Developed sciatica about a month ago in my left leg from lifting wrong; its fucking killing me. Really hope it goes away soon. A friend of mine is in school for physical therapy and she taught me one or two stretches. But today its just really really bothering me. Ack!
me too!! but it's my right leg and its come on slowly in the past year. sometimes ill be fine and sometimes ill step and fall over from the shooting feeling up my leg. UGH
Glad to hear someone is feeling my pain.. And its so weird how sometimes Im totally fine and then out of nowhere, shooting pains that make me want to die. I dunno what I'm gonna do if this isn't cleared up by festival season. A buddy of mine said I should try acupuncture, but I'm really strapped for cash right now. Ugh.

I almost choked on whatever the hell it was that my sinuses just decided to release. Judging from the size, I really didn't think my sinuses were even that big.

I'm glad you're feeling better... But I think I'm going to skip lunch now.

it started happening for me right before roo last year. I was so scared too cause I'm diabetic so i thought all kind and things and it's 15 hour car ride from here. I was fine by Friday night. just bring extra pain killers!! once I stop hurting all the time I'm gonna try exercising more to see if that helps. it's so tough though im glad I'm not the only one too!!
I was helping my parents move this weekend. As we're relaxing last night, we were watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
I proceed to make the comment, "I'm glad Jimmy made the move with The Roots." My mom looks at me and says, "The Roots are a real band? I thought they just made them up for the show."

I am totally intrigued by this. I wonder how many of the searches belong to Phyre Fest.

Am I the only one who wants to start typing their own searches to see if it shows up?
My anxiety about tomorrow's appointment is completely out of control.
I completely understand your anxiety about possible surgery, the timing of it and future plans. Just wanted to let you know a stranger in Illinois is thinking of you

Personally, I was at their sets at Newport Folk and Freefest last year and left both not liking it. My girlfriend felt the same way. But well, it depends on how much you actually like the Avett Brothers. I only like a handful of their songs, all of which are on the same album.
I would give it a listen to see if you actually like their sound first, before you go see them live. If not, you can plan accordingly to be somewhere else for some other set.
Yeah I should just try them out before my time is wasted and I miss out on something else.
Quick question: Do you get like a schedule of performances or do you just show up and hope for the best?
I also suggest trying them out. I love the Avett Bros, and admittedly I think that's why I get so much out of their live shows. I would listen to "Emotionalism" first, followed by "I and Love and You". The former is a bit grittier if you like a rawer acoustic sound, where as "I&L&Y" begins the more polished pop-folk-ballady part of their career. Both have great harmonies. They play a mix of everything in their shows.
Edit: I totally misread your question about scheduling. I thought you were asking if I personally scheduled out what bands I want to see. Oh well lol.
As far as scheduling goes, I tend to plan everything out ahead of time, though my first year I very quickly learned that that doesn't always pan out. At nighttime when the fest really comes alive, I found it fun to just wander and find some open space to dance in. Generally though I like to know who I'm going to see ahead of time because I get the most out of concerts when I know a lot of the songs. I spend the months before Roo really delving into newly discovered artists just for that purpose.

It started off as a joke, but now whenever I see "Deadmau5", my brain automatically pronounces it exclusively as dead-mou-five.
2010 was my first year at Roo. The day of the lineup me and the person I was going with went through the artists over the phone. We pronounced it that way not knowing any better. We kept saying it that way whenever we talked about Roo or were looking up his vids for research. We both thought it was such a dumb, goofy name and pronounced it with disdain and skepticism. I don't think I even knew the proper pronunciation until post-Roo.

My mom posted a Sam Smith song on her FB tonight she liked in her Zumba class, haha. I gave her some background on Sam Smith, which has now led to her discovering Disclosure, and now London Grammar since she liked Help Me Lose My Mind.
