I told myself that after fest season I would limit myself to one, MAYBE two, shows a month... So far September AND October are bth way over two. I have no self control when it comes to shows! Dangit.

Fest season doesn't end till November. You're totally okay.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

I suppose this is ok to post this way: I was flipping thru the channels and Taking Woodstock is on. They are at the show and decided to "eat some paper". Well guess what, paper as it were didn't exist then. It was about 5 years later they changed the delivery method cr****

They say something like , if you were there, you don't remember it. Tnx goodness I wasn't drinking then, well a little Ripple or Boone's Farm, and it took like 2 weeks start to finish. Some days are a daze, some days are the most vivid memories I still have. the Atlanta Pop festival was the first giant fest I went too so it might have been more life changing than WS, but most people only associate the early fests being WS. There were a bunch and each different ... cr****
Tonight's was the funniest episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in like three seasons.
can't believe I missed it! that is probably my fave show, and my DVR wasn't smart enough to record it on the new FXX channel fixed it now though and I can't wait to catch the rerun in a few days!
My boss just left to deliver the doll cake he made for his wife's birthday. I couldn't come up with this stuff if I tried.
I laughed when I saw your snaps. I think I need to know more. Did the wife request this cake or did he come up with this idea on his own?
She has always said her favorite birthday cake as a child was the doll cake she had when she was 8. Her mom recently found a photo of her & her cake, and she showed her husband. He makes her a birthday cake every year, so he decided to try to recreate the doll cake. Because he wanted it to be a surprise, he did most of the work here at the office. Kind of weird, but sweet as well.

Am I the only one finding the new MGMT boring as hell? Am I missing something?
I think even MGMT find the new MGMT boring as hell. You seen the album cover? They look as bored on the album as I feel about the album. I won't repost that Letterman trainwreck, but I've never seen someone so unenthused about playing a giant novelty cowbell on national TV as Andrew VanWygarden.
I wasn't sold on Congratulations either - and frankly, the second half of Oracular Spectacular was relatively forgettable too, IMO. They may end up a one-album wonder, but I do think the songs on the first half of that album will stand up for quite some time to come.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
My boyfriend and I have started the first season of "The Wire". This show better be good, or I'm blaming you all.
I got through 1.5 seasons. Just never got that into it. I've got the first three seasons sitting in a pile to send back to A$AP Rosko. I gave up.
I was honestly pretty bored through the two episodes we watched last night The boyfriend liked it ok, not great, but he says he thinks it will get better.

Watching the wire is different from watching most other shows. You kind of have to re-train yourself. There's no instant gratification but the payoffs are awesome eventually. It's methodically slow but oh so worth it.
