Notes from Dave's Morning:
<Dave wakes up dream where it is wake-up time> Dave (internal monologue): No way is it 4:30am already. <Dave picks up phone just in time for his alarm to go off> Dave: F*ck.
Yea I really don't get the Avett Brothers love on the board in general.
I've been a big fan for a long time, but this album isn't hitting anything for me. Needs more grit, less polish. More brutal heartache, less sappy corny. Kind of like Death Cab when Ben is happy and married. I want sulking depressing Ben Gibbard. I'm all for people being happy, but my musicians are far superior when they're going through rough times.
Exactly! *THIS* is why I love Colin Meloy/The Decemberists, The National, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead, Damien Rice, Belle & Sebastian, Jeff Buckley, and other intelligent, brooding artists.

I'm a big Avett Brothers fan. Their music (among others) helped me through a breakup and I also love the energy they bring to their shows. Really great performers.
I am watching some Pixies' videos on youtube and one of the related videos is a vid of Butterbean boxing. Frank actually looks like a smaller version of him. It made me laugh
