DOWN WITH MONDAYS!!
......going to find out about the job anyday now. Maybe there will be a followup interview, maybe it will be a direct "no", and maybe it will be a direct "yes" but sometime later this week we're gonna know something.
I HATE WAITING.
Random Thought 7 for this morning: It's a Blue Cheese kind of day. Now everyone get out there and make your bosses happy.
Wait, where did my awesome points go? Were my drunk Ireland posts that obnoxious?
Edit: OH COME ON
Actually it has nothing to do with those posts. You've been stuck on karma now as you have a mad smitter.
They keep dropping you on the hour.
Ha, I find that funny. I have no idea who I have pissed off enough to show such dedicated anger towards me, but I wish they'd come forward just so I know what I did to piss them off. Then do it again.

This.
But then again, it might just be some noobs being cute.

Now who can argue with that? I think we're all indebted to Gabby Johnson for clearly stating what needed to be said. I'm particulary glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day and age.
I slept til 2:30 today and it felt GRRRREAT...until I realized it wasn't Saturday & I should be at work.
Got here ~4'ish and did a few things, unlike Friday when I didn't bother going in at all. Too bad the boss comes back from DC tomorrow; I've gotten rather used to being the stereotypical government worker who slacks off all day. I'll put in a full day's work tomorrow then take vacation until next Tuesday. (Rough week, huh?)
Hey now, don't hate: next month I'll work 12-hr days, dealing with hordes of whiny, clueless freshmen and equally clueless new professor colleagues. It's all about the balance. Speaking of which, I have 2 hands and a beer in neither. *logs off*

Stuck on a plane, stuck on a plane. At least our sweet pilot let us turn on our electronic devices while we sit here. Waiting for the weather in Charlotte to clear up. So I can drain my cell battery perusing my favorite Inforoo. And I got an upgrade, so at least I'm able to stretch out.
I want to like the upgrade and electronic devices, but that doesnt make up for being stuck on the plane.
At least they passed that law so you can only sit on the runway for a certain amount of time. There used to be horror stories of people being stuck on the tarmac for like..6 hours. I'd be sliding down that inflatable escape stair before I sat on an unmoving plane for that long.
The most stressful plane ride EVER was one where I was bringing my sister's dog across the country as a carry-on. Luckily the dog is a perfect angel and I never even heard a whimper, never mind a bark or the like. The Hartford flight was delayed three times. It was plane trouble and they ended up switching our plane to an old version. It had to stop in St Louis for a "quick" gas break because it couldn't make it all the way to Vegas. We ended up being stuck on the tarmac there for 45 minutes and I long missed my connecting flight and had to wait almost 2 hours in Vegas for my final leg to Oakland. The poor dog was stuck in a airport/plane from like 2 PM EST til 10:30 PST. I can be quite anxious sometimes, and I was FREAKING OUT about the poor dog. Worst trip of my life.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I had an hour and change connection between my flight from PVD to BWI, and my flight BWI to SDF. The plane from Prov sat on the tarmac half an hour waiting to get in the gate. Then I had to run to get from the far end terminal A to the far end terminal B.

Well we only waited 20 min. Not horrible. Thanks for the kind thoughts y'all. I can not imagine waiting in a plane on the ground for more than half an hour or so. OY vey. Made it to NC. I'm sitting here waiting on my coworker to pick me up, and realized I never out deodorant on this morning. ... I realized this bc I briefly extended my arm to rest it on the back of this bench, and already smelled myself. Impressive, I know.

Holy crap that would be terrible! Did the dog have any chance to go the bathroom? Did you have to hold it over the plane toilet while he did his business? If so did he lick your face at the same time cause that'd be weird...
Perhaps asking that is weird, but now I kinda need to know.
EDIT: because plain and plane are not the same thing.
Yes. *points light in Dave's face* ARE YOU THE ALMIGHTY SMITER?!?
Haha. I knew that would get your attention, but alas, no, I don't smite people since I don't have mine turned on.
I didn't think you were, but you can never be too safe.
Also, regarding Blazing Saddles, my Dad first showed it to me when I was like....4, I wanna say. So one day we're walking down the street in his old neighborhood, I'm doing frittated little kid things like trying to eat pieces of garbage and running into sh*t, when I bumped into a black guy on the corner of the street. Being that a little kid's mind is an endless sponge, I immediately thought of a line from that movie that I just watched but really didn't understand (and some of you might know where this is going). I got a huge sh*t-eating grin on my face, pointed and said "hey daddy! The Sheriff is a _________!" before my Dad could cover my mouth, or kick me into oncoming traffic, or something to save himself from what he said was the most embarrassing moment of his life. Luckily, the guy on the corner knew the movie quite well (and also realized a 4 year old can't actually be racist), laughed and said "Where the white women at?"
Still, my dad said he wanted to crawl in a hole and die, and I just wanted ice cream. Innocence is an odd thing.
