Ok, this may be a better question for our older people. Which of these videos is more quintessentially (or painfully depending on your perspective) early 90s?
Just had a close encounter of the rattlesnake kind!
My shift ended, so I went for a bike ride on some of the lease roads (gotta lose that weight!). About 5 miles into my ride, I see a weird looking stick across the road. All of a sudden I realize it's a rattlesnake crossing the road! I slam on my breaks, and end up no further then 10' from him. Thankfully I knew they'd be out, being the hottest day of the year so far, so I was keeping an eye out for them. Needless to say, my watch will be extra vigilant tomorrow evening!
If you check my snaps, you can see a pic or two of him. About 3' long as near as I could tell. Once he crossed the road, he posted up shop in the shade and kept laser focus on me. ~5' was as close as I dared to get.
Pretty sure it was a Western Diamondback.
Omg I saw your snapchat and was imagining how freaked out I would be in that situation. Crazy.
Ya, my adrenaline was pumping for quite a few minutes! Thankfully the road I'm riding on is a dark brown, and the rattlesnake was light brown. If I were riding on the other caliche roads around here, he'd blend in sooooo much better. I'll definitely be doing my riding on the dark dirt.

Snakes and bikes are scary. I was out at south mountain here in phx with a buddy mtn biking. Came around a curve and heard those rattles start going crazy. I'd never heard them in real life, but I instantly knew what it was. Snake was about 2' off the trailed, coiled and ready. My heart leapt up my throat and I probably would have jumped off my bike if I weren't clipped in. I was yelli g for my buddy to stop, because he was about 10-15 seconds behind me and would have gotten the brunt of the snakes anger after I startled it. He got off and walked by about 5' across the other side of the trail. It was a beautiful diamondback, but scary as hell 10 miles away from the trailhead.
I have to go to a conference that will last most of the morning and early afternoon, and then have to write a few quick pitches and responses for an upcoming event. I am debating dropping $20 to go see Of Montreal @ Trees tomorrow. It'll be a bit of a hike, but I've never not had fun at an Of Montreal show.
Hmm...
well, when I saw them a couple of weeks ago they had drag abraham lincolns and poodles with american flag spandex onesies who stripped down to expose giant inflatable boobz. and had feather cannons.

so yeah, you should go.
It was glorious!!
Of course it was!!! Of Montreal live always is! I saw em most recently back in January with a hunch of friends and I actually may have shed a tear, but keep that on the DL... (I rarely get to see the friends I went with and me and one of the girls that went grew up listening to them together and so we both got a bit emotional singing together... I was not sober) it was a great show, I love those guys, I hope they make it back to the farm a LN show soon!!

It's been five years sinow I saw them live, and I have to say it's remained a strange and wonderful show. They played a few off of hissing fauna which made me very happy

Ya, that sound is unmistakable. I remember the first time I heard one, "Yep, that's a rattlesnake alright!" There's no doubt in your mind what's causing that sound.

Everyday I eat a banana for breakfast. It keeps me full until lunch around noon. This morning I decided to make a protein shake and used hemp chocolate protein powder, powdered PB, a whole banana, and some almond milk. And it's 10:40 and I'm fucking starving! I thought it would be more filling.

Unless it's full of ice cream shakes don't keep me full. I can only do them for snacks.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

What was your calorie difference? The banana should be like 110 or something. Your body is probably suppressing the hunger or something. That aint enough for 5 hours.

I do a shake for breakfast. Most mornings I'm fine until 11 but somedays I need a little something to tide me over to lunch. I'll use bring a cheddar cheese stick or some beef jerky to nibble on.

Well there is a banana in the shake so I thought I would be having a more nutritious meal than usual but it just made me feel like I needed to eat more. Eating the banana alone is more satisfying. I don't eat much for breakfast. Just bananas and black coffee. Sometimes a dash of peanut butter.

It's much easier to break down and metabolize liquids, so that's probably part of it, but like someone said before, you were already hungry, so most if it is probably in your head
Yo, I'm looking for a cheap place to crash in Raleigh, NC on July 17th-18th that isn't super sketchy. Anyone from around that area or that has visited have any suggestions?

Yeah, I always love their setlists; however, I always hope and pray for some Gay Parade, but I have yet to go to a show where they play anything from it, which is kinda heartbreaking, but they do a good job of mixing in stuff from the older albums most of the time.
