I'm currently sitting in my car. why, do you ask? because I just pulled up to verizon to [finally / hopefully] actually get my new phone. and I shit you not, I saw curtis the Verizon guy through the window.
I really really do not want to go inside. why did I come here alone?
The one time I went on a tour of the universal backlot in CA they were filming The Grinch so we got to see Whoville, which was pretty cool.
And yea. The Delorean!!!
There's a tourist precinct / shopping area here called the Entertainment Quarter, but in the late '90s and early 2000s it was called Fox Studios, and it was the place to be. There was a backlot tour to see where they made a bunch of blockbusters like The Matrix and Mission Impossible 2 - but alas, it was a total money pit for Fox and closed after 2-3 years and $200-300M, aka before I got to go. Buncha inconsiderate bastards.

Ugh. The. Worst. If I was near you, I'd come meet you so you wouldn't have to deal with him.

Backlot tours are awesome. Don't sleep on those, Sleepy.

First I'm going to fly to California to steal that DeLorean from Universal and gun it back to '98-'02, when Fox Studios was still open. Then I'll sell the DeLorean to fund a few Backlot tours, and invest the rest in Apple and Bitcoin and Facebook so I can retire five years ago. Maybe I can catch some of the Olympics while I'm there, place a few strategic bets... hmmm...
(seriously, who moves away from a city two weeks before they're hosting the Olympics? This guy, apparently.)
I'm with Druid! I'm a loud-mouth. I'd start making a scene. Fuck that shit.
hahaha you guys crack me up.
I left the store. I have way too much to do tonight to sit there for a half hour to hopefully get someone to "help" and then take another half hour +++ talking to the verizon person who hopefully was not curtis - just to get the phone that I already ordered.
I called verizon as I left and just said to cancel my in store order and mail it to me because this process to pick up was absolutely ridiculous. so much for thinking it would be easier to pick up than to wait for delivery. should have just done that in the first place. /rant
ps. anyone know the verizon number to call so I can bitch at them?
I have never been to Disney & have never really wanted to. I have never been to Universal Studios and would LOVE to go to WWoHP.
I went to Disney World a couple of times when I was younger, but I've never had a desire to go as an adult. It just seems to me like a lot of crowds/long lines and an opportunity to spend a ton of money. I could probably get into WWoHP, as well, though.
