I am completely clueless as to what my next step should be, and my options are quickly drying up. All I know is going home would be very, very bad.
What are your options? And why would going home be bad?
Stay in Thailand, cross my fingers and hope like hell I can somehow get a Spanish visa, go home, try and come up with the money to get certified to teach in Eastern Europe.
I absolutely love living in Thailand, but working here... it can really wear you down. Spain was my first choice but like I said previously the whole visa process isn't looking promising. Getting a cert. to teach in Eastern Europe would be great, but it's way out of my current budget.
I'm terrified of going home. First off when I left I had no intention in returning for at least a year, but was hoping to stay abroad for closer to 2 or 3 years. But more importantly just the thought of returning to "normal" life makes me feel trapped. I'd love to visit, see my family, maybe play a show or two, but anything more than that would drive me crazy!
If I do end up going home it'd be a matter of working my butt off for a few months and then hopping on the next flight outta there.
I'm also weighing the option of just hopping on a flight to some random country and seeing what I can figure out when I arrive...

I hope it works out for you, whatever you decide! Know that the rest of us are jealous of your adventures.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
There was a CountryFest here around the same time as The Hudson Project. There was a lot of hospitalizations for heat and alcohol related illnesses. It was the big news story until the mud hell at THP on Sunday.
There are SO many high schoolers tailgating at the country concerts at the Meadows in Hartford- they're always belligerent and puking everywhere...
Same with the country concerts at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden. All the little city slickers put on plaid and wear their jeans on their waist for once and head out to listen to the great country tunes they all love get friggin wasted while yelling "truck yea" in the parking lot and chances are not making it in the show.
The same thing happened for Dave Matthews though not so long ago, and basically it can be called the theme of all Philadelphia sporting tailgates being drunk, disorderly, and underage. Just at a Phils tailgate I dont have to see people who where their straw hats and tie dyed tshirts for one time a year get superwasted. Just high schoolers and a 30 pack get the weekendly dizzy bat wasted.
I love Mighty Ducks with all my heart. 1&2 were THE movies of my childhood. 90% of the time, I refer to my friend Julie as Julie the Cat Gaffney, Bangor, Maine.
Which 3rd movie destroyed the legacy more: Mighty Ducks 3 or The Godfather 3? There is a correct answer.

Close call, but Hans funeral and Portmans return would lead me to say Godfather 3 ruined the franchise more then D3.
Gained way too much from bbqs and such. Starting a month long diet of nothing but yogurt, bananas, water, grilled chicken, and multivitamins today. Wish me luck!

Guys I need help. I'm going to be in LA next week and I have to choose one show to go to instead of both like I thought I could. Antemasque or Warpaint????????
With Charlie Conway as the coach and Gordon Bombay as the Hans role for Charlie. It's gotta work.
miracle couldn't hold a candle to d2.
The rink that had MD3 filmed in it is in trouble. Its really sad to me seeing that I have played at most of the rinks in these movies, I guess that's cool at least.
I'd bop around to some Jamiroquai. I'd love to hear a song or two from Incubus, but I'd hate the rest of the set so I probably wouldn't stick around. I loved the 311 self-titled album back in late elementary/middle school, but have no interest now. I've never had a boner for Lenny.

Do you mean would the crowd accept them? Of course. Kanye is the only one I've really heard of that was not accepted by most of the people.
We are also talking about groups who have brought us some of the greatest and also most regrettable music of our time
I wasn't big on any of them except Incubus and I don't regret that one. Now that they're not headliner or else status, I'd love to see Incubus on the farm. Maybe Mikey in the Skrillyjam is the first foot in the door.
In my younger days I used to drink a whole jug of the Carlo Sangria to myself. I would drink it straight from the jug and bring it to tail gates n such. As soon as I hit 25 the hangovers just got wayy too intense.

jamirouquai would be quacking awesome. I don't know why they are included with those other 3, who basically ruin their musical credibility with each successive release.
I would I still go see incubus, probably. they have enough songs to make a great (to me) set, but I think when all the pieces fell into place I'd really only enjoy about half of it.
