The tickets I purchased for the Spiritualized show on V-day in LA for ~$150/pair are selling (at cheapest) on StubHub for a minimum of ~$500/pair... I really want to see the show, but damn it's super tempting to sell them.
After a really horrible past couple days, I stumbled upon a minutes old posting for the job of Assistant Manager at great music venue around here. I updated my resume and had a cover letter typed in 1/2 hour and sent it off in a whirlwind. This would be such an amazing opportunity, and something I actually have the skills to really be good at.

WWID (what would inforoo do)?
That's a tough one. FWIW, I saw them in Boston about two years ago, and they put on a great show... but personally, I wouldn't call it a $250-a-pop show. However, there was no orchestra and it was at the dingy 'dise, not that fancy schmancy theatre you posted, so that ups the stakes a fair bit.
Honestly, I know it's kind of a non-answer, but I guess you and yr boo will have to decide how much the show means to you. Would you rather see that show, or do a weekend getaway somewhere? Decisions, decisions. If either of you have your heart set on it, I say go; if not, maybe reconsider.

Thanks Jack I saw them at Coachella last year and was in love, so I definitely have my heart set on it BUT we are moving next month and could use the money for about 50 billion expenses involved with that.

I'd sell the tickets for a $700 profit. That's a lot of shows. Or with frequent flyer miles a whole music festival. Or like sleepy said, a weekend getaway.
It has been way too long since I have fallen in love with a band. I keep looking online and or hoping something comes my way but everything feels mediocre to me.

you've probably heard every new band that I can think of, so I'll give you an older one that is r.i.p. that you may have not heard of, Denali.
