I know I have posted this before but I think people need a refresher.
Just catching up, still no internet... Being from New Orleans, this map is incorrect. Anything north of Baton Rouge is no longer the south. I'm sorry.... But it bugs the hell out of me when yall call yourselves southerns. I know you technically are but not really.
Please everyone tell me I'm wrong, and don't catch my sarcasm.

I am almost 40 years old, and I just applied for my first passport. JHOinTN, I expedited it, so we will be able to cross the border!!
WOOT! Now we just have to figure out how to get there (rental car can't go across the border??)
We've taken rental cars across the border at the Mexicali cross. I'm pretty sure every time I've ever been to Mexico it was in a rental, save for once maybe.
Also, Texas = SOUTHwest, SOUTH-Central (or whatever that one was)... Therefore, since it is in the SOUTHERN United States, it is in the south. Maybe not THE South, but it is south.
That's true. But if this is what journalism is coming to I should stop paying $20,000 a year to get a a journalism degree haha. I don't need four years of lectures to learn how to write a sentence and post a gif
Journalism is now 140 characters.
Truth.
Often times, shit I found on Twitter and Facebook was more accurate than in the typical media sources. Found that out at Zuccotti Park a few years ago, where the TV stations, NYT, Daily News, etc... were getting guided tours by the NYPD, while independent media was getting harassed if not thrown into the back of a van.
I know you think you are funny but statements like that are actually really offensive and you need to stop making them.
Austin isn't in the South, it's in Texas. As an inhabitant of the South, you really gotta cut this suit out Monie.
Texas is kinda South. It's not The South, but it's not Southwest like Phi suggested. It's just its own little place, big enough to not require needing the term "South Central"
the only time I've consumed fast food in the south has been when I'm drunk (or it's the first meal after leaving roo. which would basically be considered still drunk). I look forward to keeping that trend alive in 2 weeks.
....... I've never actually eaten white castle.........
Lucky you with the never having White Castle. It's absolutely disgusting, and I have no idea why I've had it more than once.
Also, I feel the need to go to Waffle House at least once when I'm down at Roo.
Also, I really ought to go to Zaxby's the next time I'm down South. Keep hearing about it so much, now I got to see what the hype is about.

As someone who has lived in the Northeast his entire life, I think North Carolina would be my limit. The Deep South is just too conservative, and the weather is unbearable in summer. Asheville would be one of my top choices of places to live, but the job openings in my field seem to be few and far between.
