The Mars Volta New Order The Raconteurs The Shins The Killers Animal Collective Arctic Monkeys
New Order and The Raconteurs are especially odd, as Joy Division and The White Stripes are two of my favorite bands of all time - but those two never did all that much for me.
Bowie? That's one that makes me feel stabbed in the heart the same way most people feel about MMJ being listed. I also will listen and try to find something not to like.

This thread is therapeutic.
Having a place to admit to not liking a certain band without fear of ridicule (well, except maybe from NoD and whoreshack ) is nice. Most of us don't want to Leno talk about a band in a thread about how great said band is. I also like the fact that (almost) everyone is being mature about it and not saying a band sucks just because they don't like them.
Thanks OP! I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like The White Stripes!
Also, I'm surprised at all the dislike of Wilco. They would be on my list, but I don't feel like I've given them a fair chance. I own at least one, if not several, albums of the bands on my list and just can't get into them.
It's not like I hate Wilco. I actually really like YHF and can enjoy Summerteeth but find everything else to be underwhelming. I just dont understand why everyone (my friends and a lot of inforoosters) loves them as much as they do.
I thought I was the only person on this board that didn't like Phish, The Dead, and The White stripes....
Nope, I'm with you on the first two. Love me some Jack White, but I never got into the others, despite trying. That includes live shows. Still meh. To each their own.
It's funny how tastes change: I used to feel the same way about Panic, but this year I totally warmed up to them like never before, starting at Hangout Fest. Then their What Stage show melted my face. Go figure.
