How many of you saw the SNL sketch where Jesus shows up in the Broncos locker room after the Bears game. He told them he would not be available for this weeks game because of Christmas shopping.
How or why do so many people hate Tebow? I am bias towards him, because we are Gators, but RDK you listed two things that are wrong with the NFL and one of those were Tebow? What has he done, that makes him wrong for the NFL? Ndamukong Suh? Plaxico Burress? Albert Hansworth? I could list more, but Tebow is not complaining about money, guy works hard everyday in practice, you ask any coach, and his attitude is the attitude a coach dreams for from his players. Can you legitimately name one reason, on thing Tebow has done that makes Tebow wrong for the NFL? because he is the opposite of everything wrong in the NFL.
I have a few friends whose religion is extremely important to them. They don't like the way Tebow showcases religion the way he does, they feel he can be a good Christian without having to constantly reference it and bring it up even when the topic at hand has nothing to do with Religion.
Personally? I think he's a good guy and admire his competitiveness, I'm just tired of ESPN showcasing Tebow for 30 minutes of every 60 minute sportscenter when he throws a football like a gorilla tossing a boulder. He's just not very good, I don't hate him though. He wins games, and since I've spent 2+ seasons defending Mark Sanchez (who does the same thing), I can't hold a double-standard for Tebow. He wins, but he's not a good QB.

Tebow gets on my nerves for the same reason that Kurt Warner got on my nerves back in the day. His religiousity? Nope. It's that the media talks about Tebow ALL THE TIME just like when Kurt Warner made his ascent back in the day. There was a time when I vowed to stab somebody if I had to hear another anecdote about him stocking shelves at a grocery store.

Yeah, I agree. Hype aside, it's not clear that Andrew Luck will be a much better NFL QB than, say, Matt Barkley (who I think will buck the trend of USC quarterbacks that don't quite live up to their level of talent). Or even Landry Jones, really. There will be several really good quarterback prospects in the 2012 draft.
And yeah, Beast Mode has been a monster recently. The Seahawks are in good shape. Pete Carroll has actually been a good coach for them, somewhat surprisingly.

I could see Robert Griffin falling to the 'Hawks, and that could turn out to be really dangerous. As a Rams fan, I much prefer they stick with Tavaris.
With the NYG debacle vs. WSH yesterday and Philly's thrashing of the NYJ, I'm glad to see my Iggles still have a (slim) chance at the playoffs.
Yeah go beat them Cowpokes!
Go Skins, we won't make the playoffs but it feels good to give the Giants the sweep treatment after 4 years of that shit.
I am pulling for Eagles to beat the Cowboys so that Washington can rip out Philly's heart at the end of the season. That is what they deserve for booing Santa.
He's lucky fumbles don't factor into QB rating because he has FOUR quacking fumbles the last three games. And seven for the year, that's insane.
If the Seahawks had somehow gotten Andrew Luck, their future would be really bright, but obviously that isn't going to happen now.
This draft will be deep enough in QBs that they'll be alright. And right now, this is a team that's playing excellent football despite losing 3/5 of their starting O-line, both starting CBs, and their #1 and #2 WR to injury. The best young safety tandem in the league, a talented defense (if Browner doesn't make the pro bowl it's a crime), a rejuvenated running attack...get the healthy pieces in there next year, and they're a contender.
I don't think there is that much QB depth in the draft this year. Aside from Luck, RG3, and, I guess, Jones, there isn't anything that solid. Guys like Nick Foles and Tannehill are not ready to start in the NFL, by my estimation. Guys like Kellen Moore and Keenum will probably fall a ways, but are decent talents. There are some nice college QBs, for sure, but I question how many of them will actually be decent NFL QBs.
Point being, this is more of a prospect/project draft than one like 2011, where you had several NFL ready guys.

Oops, guess that's what I get for checking Inforoo before anything else after getting home from work.
Also, if the Colts end up giftwrapping the #1 pick for the Vikings, I'm going to blow up Lucas Oil Stadium or whatever the hell it's called. After the Packers win the Superbowl there.

Who would have thought Andy Dalton would keep the Bengals in the playoff hunt.Drafts are unpredictable but i really do think this QB class is deep. You got Luck who broke Elways passing records. Griffith III, Heisman. Landry Jones is NFL ready, might even be better than Bradford. You got Wheedon out of OK State. Taj Boyd out of Clemson. And Kellen Moore who is great for mid to late first round pick. Even without Barkley, whose staying to get a Bowl for USC, this is looking pretty strong.I do agree Files and Tannenhill are development talents and maybe even return to college play.

Kellen Moore is not a first round pick at this point. You pretty much agreed with me that there are 3, maybe 4, NFL ready QBs. That doesn't qualify as depth. I think Wheedon is more of a system QB, but he could pan out.
Dalton was on the edge of being considered ready to take over a team, he surprised some, but not me. A west coast offense was all it took to get the most out of him. And I think he should be offenseive rookie of the year.

Don't worry, the Rams will be taking it. As long the Colts can hold it together against the flailing Seahawks.

Love Dalton but I'd take Cam Newton any day as far as rookies go. Hard to imagine the bengals would have won any less games with him at qb.

Maybe, maybe not. Cam is a great playmaker and an amazing athlete, but he is just as likely to lose a game for you as he is win it. I expected Cincy and Carolina to be about on the same level this year and Cincy actually has a decent shot at making the playoffs, and have been in it all year. Cam's numbers have improved over the past couple weeks to make it closer, but I've been more impressed with Dalton's ability to come in on a team that was in complete disarray and lead them in the toughest division in the league. Cam will win ROY because of his hype and such, but Dalton has been equally impressive, in a less explosive way.

Fair enough, I guess the fact dalton was selected for pro bowl and newton wasn't supports the argument as well... By no means am I down on dalton as my favorite team's (hopefully) franchise qb. When I think of the best offensive player, though, I think of it more in terms of fantasy football & stats, in which newton was far superior. But as far as leadership and being clutch goes.... I agree with you.

Newton has more yards, overall touchdowns, and a higher QB rating. He only has three more turnovers than Dalton, so I'm not sure what approo meant when he said Newton's just as likely to lose you a game than he is win one.
Also, how do you know Dalton's a better leader than Cam? Or more clutch? Newton's QBR in games decided by 7 points or less is higher than this season total. Dalton's is lower. Just because Cincinnati's defense is vastly superior to Carolina's doesn't make Dalton more "clutch" or anything like that.

Also, I know because I watch football, you can't decide everything by looking at the numbers. Cam has a much higher likelihood to take big risks and make suspect passes, it has a bigger payoff, but also increases your chances for making bigger mistakes. That's why he has an equal chance of winning or losing the game for you. I'm not taking anything away from his accomplishments this season, he exceeded my expectations for him this year. I'm just more impressed with Dalton's play this year, on the Bengals, in the AFC North, with much less hype coming in.
Cam Newton will keep getting better. I see BARE MINIMUM one superbowl for him. Oh and Broncos will lose vs the Chiefs, and the Raiders will win against the Chargers. Playoffs here we come.
