Yeah. I had my hopes up after the Jets announced they were no longer negotiating. A local sports radio station reported seeing Jerry Jones and Rob Ryan fist bumping while on the phone. Then the breaking news headline came up on Sportscenter and the division rival Iggles had jumped in at the last minute and made the deal. In my mind they got in touch with Namni and his agent and asked what Dallas was offering and topped it. I hope they don't have enough cap room for Jackson now. That guy burns us every game.

Let's go Saint Louis! I really hope we get a good Third Down/Change-of-Pace Running Back to give Jackson some support. I was disappointed to see Sproles going to New Orleans, but there are still several guys out there.
besides, with vick's legs, WE DON'T NEED NO STINKING O-LINE.
and because of this thinking, Vick will be hurt on and after week 6.
Except that our o line isnt really that bad. Peters is a pro bowl left tackle, herremans is an outstanding left guard and mcglynn and justice are both decent players at center and right tackle. add rookie danny watkins at right guard and thats a pretty good o line. its not the best o line, but watkins could really make it better. we just need consistency from the o line this year. they got exposed last year at times(vs vikings), but are by no means a bad o line. and in week 6 the iggles play the redskins and i dont see that being a tough game. I'm more worried about Vick in weeks 7 and 8 going against Ware with the Cowboys and Peppers with the Bears.
as for the nnamdi signing that really came outa nowhere, but i like the move. I think either he will be put at safety (he has a big body and is great at coverage rather than INTs) or we will see a lot of 3 cornerback packages. we got killed last year by the opposing passing game so the signing of nnamdi along with getting babin and rogers-cromartie gives us a stacked defense. Reid was talking about how this situation reminded him of having al harris, troy vincent and bobby taylor all at once
and the phillies got hunter pence! the only way the day couldve been better is if the philadelphia union had won the game i went to
3 spots left now. For all of those in the league let me when your available to do the draft. I like to wait til after the last pre-season game bc you never know who could get injured. I'm thinking Sept. 5th which is a Monday. The first regular season game is on Sept. 8th so that gives you a couple days to tweak your lineup and roster if need be.
Hey, your boys just won a Super Bowl. You can't complain for at least 2 years.
Hey, it's not exactly paradise up here either.
My cheesehead kept falling off when I took shots for touchdowns during the game. Some of them came so close together we'd barely finished taking the shots from the previous touchdown the time the next one was needed. I had to smoke outside so I missed most of the ads. I had to use protection that night drunkenly celebrating victory. When I went to Lambeau for the Return to Titletown celebration, it was four degrees without wind chill and icicles were growing on my moustache as I sipped beer. My friend with a DVR made me a copy of the game on DVD a few days later, but his recording cut short and doesn't actually include the footage of Clay Matthews presenting MVP Aaron Rodgers with a championship belt. Due to the lockout, the presentation of the rings was scaled back and the Packers haven't even gotten to visit the White House to rub it in that Bears fan's face yet. Not to mention the higher stakes that come with pursuing a dynasty rather than a single championship.
The Seahawks have done well in FA. Sidney Rice and Zach Miller. I bet they are regreting let Hasselbeck go. That offense would have be dangerous this year if they had a QB

Tarvaris Jackson has a higher career QB rating than Kevin Kolb, a better career completion percentage than Donovan McNabb, and a 3.6% career INT percentage. He's not the trainwreck people think he is.
The Seahawks did the right thing this year - rather than overpay for Kolb, or hand out money/years to Hass (who can't stay healthy and is erratic at best), they took a chance on a QB who has a chance to be above-average, signed on the cheap. Meanwhile, they've upgraded the O-line significantly, and have filled the team with possession-based offensive weapons. They can run GREAT 2 TE sets with Carlson and Zach Miller, their #1 and #2 WRs should be able to outjump/reach most DBs, and they've got great options in the short/flat with Leon Washington and Golden Tate, both of whom should be able to take a short pass and create yardage on their own. Add to that an improved running game behind a revamped line and a new OL coach in Tom Cable, and I think this offense has top-10 potential (no joke).
It's the defense that has question marks - basically, they need big things out of Mebane (need a pass rush), need to hope that Trufant and Thurmond can both turn in quality years at CB, hope that Kam Chancellor steps into the starting safety role well, hope that Earl Thomas continues his promising rookie year, and hope that Aaron Curry can FINALLY put it all together and be a force...it's a lot of "ifs."
I will say this, though - with Lofa finally gone (God Bless him, loved him as a player; he and Hass were my two favorites, but Tatupu has been so overrated the past 3 years that it's sick), everyone will see just how goddanged good David Hawthorne is. He's going to surprise people.

I don't know, I'd rather spend a First Rounder on a younger player. Unless maybe I was pretty certain I'd be drafting low in the first round. Osi also wants a lot of money, so it's a first rounder and millions of dollars on top of that.

That's what's going to prevent him from going anywhere, unless the team is a) flush with draft picks/young talent, b) likely to have a crappy 1st round pick next year, c) ready to compete now and d) ready to pay big money.
Nobody is going to part with a first-round pick for Osi. Also Osi has a higher opinion of his value than any GM is going to have and won't like hearing what other teams will pay him now that he's turning 30. My bet is Osi sits until he gets over it.
