This man needs no visuals. Seen him 3 times this year (with and without his light show) and he kills regardless. Has been and will probably always be my favorite beat maker, period. Ol' Skrilley should have taken note, this is how a REAL a quacking DJ does it.
Unfortunately I was too busy losing my quacking mind to note the order of anything. He did a decent bit off of Cosmogramma, handful of old stuff, and I think (?) some new stuff and remixes.
Can anyone confirm he played some new shiz?
I have to say I was a little bummed when he mixed out of some of his tracks really early. I think World Laughs With You was maybe playing for like 90 seconds. Still a quacking killer show, though.

what was that last song he closed with? it was so awesome, he stopped playing and just asked if he should do it, then he did it and it was crazy. i can't think of the line right now, some hip hop line. it was insane!
I walked up the Flying Lotus because I was tired and thought some beats would help pump me up. I enjoy his studio material but thought it was a little too chill for a late night set. Well his live stuff comes across WAY more high energy, it was incredible.
Its hard to know exactly how much a DJ is really doing up there, so all I can really go on is the music and how it made me feel, and I felt like FlyLo had complete control of the crowd. That is the feeling I'm looking for from a DJ, because mood control is what EDM is all about to me.

I'd put this show as my fourth favorite this year. He was just so all over the place with the styles of music he was playing and he looked like he was having as much fun as anyone else. I thought his set ended pretty early considering there was nothing going on after him but maybe he was just too drunk haha. "I need whiskey! You do too!"
Soooo awesome. I want to see Flying Lotus at Bonnaroo every year.
I think we really killed the coachella crowd y'all. Flylo seemed speachless at times. Such a great show.
This guy has probably become my favorite DJ over the last few years.
i agree with every single thing about this post. flylo neeeeeeeeeeeeds to be back next year, hopefully curating a brainfeeder tent. he really seemed to feed off of the crowds excitement and genuinely appreciate getting to dj late night at roo
It's like, if I hand you a sandwich and am all "hey man, have a bit of this delicious ham sandwich," and then you take a bite and hand it back and are all "I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a turkey sandwich," you'd be insane

It was not super packed towards the sides and back. I walked up right as he was starting and managed to easily get a good spot inside the tent about half way in on the left side.

can we just have him back next year and have his slot say: Flying Lotus - This Tent - 2:00-until... and just have him play til the sun comes up... I was hoping he would do that this year but hey, theres always next year haha

As I wandered over to This Tent around 1:40 to catch the last part of Blackstar I felt very much meh about EDM. 15 minutes later I felt the nuclear opposite! 1 week later I own 1983, Los Angeles and Shhhh!. And goddang Los Angeles is a quacking great album, It's one of my favorites in my entire music collection!!!
I would travel several states over to see Flying Lotus. In fact I would happily travel to a string of shows, that's how blown away I was by him at Roo.
AAHHHHH MAN YOUR KILLING ME PHI!!! Damn, you cut off the video RIGHT as he started playing $tunt$!!! I was hanging around still glowing at how awesome it was watching everyone jam out to Jackson 5 (me included) then, $tunt$, that was the precise moment that my entire attitude about EDM changed forever and I just proceeded to dance my quacking ass off until the music ended.
I would be willing to do some very unsavory acts to have a recording of this whole set.
(Disclaimer: admittedly I didn't hang around this part of inforoo for a couple of weeks after the fest so I'm mighty late to this conversation )
Title changed. I'd love to see this dude back with a set til sunrise next year but I srsly doubt it. With Bassnectar and PL coming back so often its def not impossible though.
