Hola folks! Man, have I missed a lot the passed few days! My sister is here from Cali and I have been a little distracted!
FM, that list is making me hungry!! (And if anyone is wondering, it's a page and a half in Microsoft word I had to copy/paste to refer to it while typing this!). Is that whole list from you and Quacker?! That's a lot, especially from the amazing host and hostess! Like Scrog, I was planning on bringing some food and beverage (PS Scrog- Good ass mac and cheese is one of my FAV things everrrr- bring an extra pan for me ) to ease some of the responsibility! My initial thoughts were:
-Chicken Sausages
-Veggies for the grill (assorted skewered or portobellas if I can find some good ones?) OR I was thinking of my veggie bake, which is like a lasagna, but with no noodles. But MAN is it tasty with homemade pesto, mozz, tomatoes, eggplant, summer squash.. etc. but that will be too repetitive is the lasagna and/or stuffed eggplant is made?
-Vodka Lemonade (I might be able to do jello shots instead, but no promises as I decided (as of now) to work all day/ all night Friday- if no one picks up this duty, I'll see what I can do!)
-At least one other item- I was thinking either something sweet or an app of some sort (taco dip, buff chick dip, poppers, etc). I LOVE APPS! Just sayin
So if you'd like to take a little off of your belt, can I bring a few if not all of the above??? I love this sort of thing. I just hosted a mini dinner party on Saturday (Vietnamese items) and made a big homemade sushi meal last night with my mom and sister:
An admittance: I am a little scared of lobster. Yes, that's right. Scared. Luckily, in the past 10 years or so, that fright has diminished to uncomfortableness. I am ok around them now, though I can't say I'll sit next to you while you are cracking them open! Story to follow on Saturday...
I am intrigued about this Brunch! I am not always too hungry in the AM, but mimosas and bloody marys are ALWAYS a-ok! Is this a full on brunch? I'd love to contribute as well! I am sure there will be enough leftovers to simply turn on the grill again ;D
I drink coffee, but am not picky. As long as it's not SUPER strong, I can even drink it completely black if needed, although I prefer a little splenda. I will try to just bring a handful of it for whomever. I generally just do coffee for breakfast and then eat whatever I feel like midmorning, so no special orders here
I think this weekend will be fab! As FM quoted Quacker in saying, "we're all Roo people." There will be good times to be had by all!!! ;D ;D ;D
Side note: LD, crazy that you guys ran into each other! How'd you know who each other was? Recognize them from pics or was someone wearing a Roo shirt or something?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Oh. I forgot about the Del's Lemonade. Yeah, someone wanna get some of that? Nice to have something RI and non-alcoholic. Though I suppose you can pour vodka in it too if you wanna.
Quacker: I picked up a 12 pack of said Magic Hat seasonal. I'm holding the #9 and Single Chair here, but am gonna bring the Blind Faith and Wacko for you and Scrog.
Bon: Vicki (sp.?) was wearing a Roo 2010 shirt. (Is that how we find each other or something?) I made comment on it, and asked how many other years they been. When Idio said five, I asked if Inforoo. Second pure coincidence was them being in the row in front of me at MMJ.
LD, I think every culture has a word to describe your and Idio and Vicki(sp?)'s run in. My culture calls it, what-the-fuck-stars-aligned-my-life-is-going-in-the-right-direction-encounter or we call it a small world. Either way that is very cool!
Bonnie, what Japaneses restaurant did you take that pic from? Your sushi looks good and tasty! (hummmm, I might be onto a new pic-up line) Looks I am making Mac N Chz!
and Idio, Dels sounds good! I am not a huge fan of Lemonade, but the sh!t was GOOD!!!!
if there is a carpool, and its going through MA, will it be going through / near my home town?
and what time would you be heading through. long story, buy vicki might need a ride.
Idio, is the T an option for Vicki? We should have some people available to pick her up on Saturday from somewhere down here and then you could meet up here?

Wow, I got busy for a few weeks and the party planning really ramped up!!
Me and Mr. Valentine are definites now, and I have the makings for cherry lemon jello shots all ready for preparation Friday night!! I'm going to try to make them polka dotted too, we'll see how that goes! I plan on stopping off at Scialo Bros for some Italian sweets as well.
Really looking forward to it, and thank you Fawn and Quacker for opening your home to this shenanigans. I can't wait to meet all of you in real life (its odd that I haven't yet, I feel like I know everybody!)...
And as it turns out my parents decided to renew their vows after 40 years of marriage the next day, also in RI. So I predict a pretty awesome weekend all around.
I still plan on bringing chowdah if that''s okay! Gonna have to leave a little early Sunday but I'll be alright ;-) I was planning on bringing a bottle of red and a bottle of white, for the wino-s.

Oooh. Katy will! That's even better. Awesome news!
Fawn - aww. You would have to post that. There are some wild turkeys that occasionally wander around my block around 5-6AM (which is odd considering I am right next to a state highway) - they still haven't converted me yet, so your turkeys better be some real charmers.
Bonzai - you made that? That looks incredible! I'm very impressed, and I'm certainly no scab when it comes to making my way around a kitchen.
Katy - glad to hear you're in!
Lowerdeck / Idio - that's crazy! I love coincidences like that. Serendipity.
We just cant be left with a ton of leftovers for just 2 people. (hate to waste) So plan on take homes of whatever you liked if we have more than can be consumed.
Idio - there's a Dell's store about 3 minutes from the house if it helps. Child street in warren.
Thank you, but no thank you on cost sharing for what we are pitching in. It is is absolutely our pleasure and priviledge to be having such great people all coming together at the Aisle. We cant wait!!!

Knowing that helps a great deal!
although, the draw of Dels to Vicki is strong, and she hasnt had any all year. i managed to find a Dels cart in Boston - but it wasnt the same.
that's my way of saying as soon as we pass a Dels truck, she is going to grab the wheel and steer in that direction!
Katy Did - most excellent.
To the hosts: its looking like we'll crash there - plan being to hit a beach on sunday. i suppose that's weather dependent...
Then I started thinking about a cow. What? Yes, a cow. My first pet was a cow, I mean we already had a dog, she was there when I was born. I love cows! They give me milk for my chocolate chip cookies. They give me rib eyes to go with my loaded baked potato. They give me leather, so I have a wallet for my money. They give us fungi! I love cows and I am glad on Saturday I get to be one. In my tribute to the cow, in honor of the cow, I am going to be a cow on Saturday. With all this great food I am going to be constantly grazing all day long, just like a cow. ;D and I freaking can't wait!!! MOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I looked at my work schedule and I have off Saturday, but I just looked at getting out there and it would cost me a bit to do it. If I wasn't making all of these plans in the next few week I could have booked a bus or train for a cheaper rate.
Idio, Fire works and strong hallucinogenics? I <3 U!!!
Holls, what is wrong with that cow?
Bonnie, Spotted or brown? If you are asking what kind of cow I am going to be? I am thinking Hairy, like the Hairy Coo from my people's land of Scotland. My first pet was a brown cow, we did not have chickens, so there was no Brown-Chicken-Brown-Cow.

ODB.. wish we has known sooner! Quacker loves a nice drive. You'd just need to duck tape your hat on, put any potentially wind blown objects in the trunk, take a sedative, and the pony express would have had you here in no time.
Scrog father.. There has better not be any 'Rain' in FLA tomorrow morning. Get on that flight!!!
Quacker and I had an emotional week finding out our sweet Romeo is so sick. We've been looking forward to this weekend since the get go and now more than ever. Having the company of I-Rooers is the Best medicine in the world!!
Had some gidy laughs quite last night while Quacker 'conversed' about how he should have been working out his stomach muscles to prepare for the laughing this weekend. SOOO cant wait.
If anyone is planning to head up and I failed to PM the address or anything else please PM. Will be busy in the am but will have time to check in.
PS. Nice time change LD ;D
Get here when it works for ya'll. No worries, no hurries. Except you Scrog and Holls.. make your flights!

Bless you, purveyors of booze and party favors...after the week I've had, I'll be deliriously overjoyed to see you all! Between the whiny students (OMG, incoming college freshmen are so quackin' clueless!) and pissy fellow professors, I'm ready to take hostages!! So let the 48 hours of merry-making therapy begin! I'm off to the airport now. See y'all soon!

Safe travels everyone, see you manana!
I've got my shenanipants on... though from the looks of things... maybe we should wear shenaniscrubs! Might get messy...
Bonzai... excellent point on the alcohol factor... might have to upgrade from mimosas to screwdrivers! Or we could float the mimosa version in a shot of vodka ;D
Double layer? One layer of regular jelloshot topped with a champagne layer? Just a thought. Screwdriver jello shots work too
SOO ready for Pineapple vodka. Some of my neighbors at Roo this year had and were VERY generous with it! Vodka shaken with ice... nothing else added... perfecto.
Holls and Scrog, I hope your flights are screaming baby free!
