You don't? Obviously there are flaws. Poorly recorded, short, sometimes hard to understand. But I think the beat is dope enough and his rhymes are legit. I think just the idea of having Earl back and releasing stuff in the first two days is huge.

i think they are just okay. i hear a lot of people swearing by everything this clique does and there is way sharper talent out there, currently making music. and getting slept on hard. like i said they're okay. wouldn't mind seeing them, i guess.

Who is better and getting slept on? I like the beats and the flow, it is just the rape and horror references that turn me off.
It's really only Tyler and maybe MellowHype, at times, that do the rape/shock stuff. Domo is a straight weed rapper, Mike G. is whatever Mike G. is, Frank Ocean is R&B basically, the Internet/Syd/Jet Age of Tomorrow is electronic/jazz/ambient. Granted, Taco & Jasper are totally fringe rappers, if you even want to label them as rappers. I like to think of them as the 2012 teenage Flavor Flav/hype-men guys. They know they suck, but I kinda like when Jasper raps.
Earl doesn't count anymore, to me, until he's on an Odd Future release, so talking about his style is moot. But, I will Before he hooked up with Tyler, his style was totally different. Then, he was Tyler Jr. in a lot of ways, in regards to some of his lyrics. But if you listen to "Home", that was just released, it's kind of a throwback to his Sly Tendencies days, but meshes it with his new style pre-Samoa.
I like the video for "Rella". Domo slaps a biznatch and turns her Asian. That's hilarious and something I don't think many people have picked up on. Tyler as the half-man/half-horse was pretty great as well. I still don't really like Hodgy Beats, for some reason. I don't know why.
disappointed that the likelihood of them being an addition is %0.01... unlike a lot of you i think they are better than pretty much any other current rapper/rap group. i don't know what it is about them but I'm obsessed.
The thing I really don't get about the group is the straight cult-like obsession. I dig a number of OF tracks, and when I saw them live they were cool but I don't understand why people get amped on the level they do for new releases.
I like all of Earl's stuff, and some of Tyler and Frank, but like how are people into Mike G? And Domo Genesis is just terrible. There's some decent stuff in there, but maybe like 20% of their discography is listenable.
Mike G.'s newest EP is actually pretty good. And Domo is one of my favorites of the group, you can tell a real difference in his style if you listen to Rolling Papers and Under the Influence back-to-back. He's stepped it up.

edan the humble magnificent.
look up these three songs...
1. Primitive Plus 2. Beauty 3. Making Planets ft. Mr. Lif
he is hands down the best lyricist I'v eever heard. and that's a big endorsement coming from an hiphop snob.

If I had to guess, I'd say that a) you're young, probably what, 24 or younger, and b) don't tend to typically like rap music, correct?
a. 22 b. i actually listen to a lot of rap. just not a fan of a lot of what people consider to be 'good' in this day and age. i will always be blasting tupac, wutang, public enemy, outkast, odd future. hated watch the throne, think kanye is 50-50, same with eminem (he was fun last year though) not a big jay z fan (saw him at roo, he's damn good live though). dig a tribe called quest, starting to slowly like pusha-t, will always love luda. rappers i fucking hate? lil wayne, this mac miller fool, birdman, B.O.B., pretty much anything dumb sorority sluts like (outside of luda) patiently waiting for you to tell me how my taste is inferior and i don't know what I'm talking about, lol

i have the same feeling towards phishand bands of that nature... some of my friends lose their shit about umphreys, i don't get it... to each his own

Well, I was going to say that I feel like most people who are like "OFWGKTA BEST RAPPERS ALIVE" are really young and aren't really that into hip-hop. They tend to get sucked in by the image and the "coolness" of it all, whereas I feel like people who are really big hip-hop fans kind of concede that yeah, Tyler's got some great production, and Earl can spit, and some of the stuff is great, but it's got a lot of filler/crap as well.
By that token, I think you just need to listen to a lot more "modern" rap. If you like what you listed above, you need to be listening to Kendrick Lamar, Danny Brown, Curren$y, Jay Rock, Elzhi, Phonte, Jay Electronica, and even some less as-current but still vital/recent acts like the Clipse, Cool Kids, El-P, Cannibal Ox, Lupe Fiasco, etc., because those are all "modern" rap acts that I think tend to stand head and shoulders above OFWGKTA when it comes to lyrics, content, songs, etc. Maybe that's just me though.
i feel what you're saying in that first paragraph. there's definitely a lot of people like that. i just like what i like, don't really care about the 'image' factor. i listen to curren$y, El-p is pretty cool, lupe's good too. i just found kendrick lamar and that shit is pretty fucking awesome. i honestly just don't like any of them as much as i like odd future. i don't know, i'm a big fan of the production, i think earl is the shit, hodgy is awesome, tyler's lyrics are great, i love their videos, i dig the comedic aspect. you gotta take it less seriously to really appreciate it. and if you don't take it seriously already and still don't care for it, it's just not gonna be your thing.

I don't know if the following acts are "slept on," but they're certainly less popular than OFWGKTA yet are better rappers making better music:
Kendrick Lamar A$AP Rocky Jay Rock Danny Brown Curren$y Elzhi Brother Ali
...those are just off the top of my head. These are names that are all completely familiar and recognizable to most hip hop fans, yet lack the name brand recognition that OFWGKTA have gained among the more casual set.

I agree with you're saying here juggs. When I tell people I like OF, it's really me saying "I dig Tyler and Earl". I think if you take all of their solo stuff, it's on the same level of the guys you listed (whom I dig most of). Tyler and Earl are really the only people in OF that I think are that talented. The rest is just mediocre stuff that's getting noticed because of Tyler and Earl imo.

no hodgy for you?
Eh, I mean he's not bad. I just don't really get into any of his songs.
