I am aiming for tickets at the Ascend Amphitheatre in Nashville. I have never been here - anyone know if it’s a decent venue?
It’s a good venue that unfortunately is owned by Live Nation. So eat and drink before you go. Prices are rediculous. Seats are pricey. Ga is not bad if you go early and get a good spot. Sound is good anywhere Bring a blanket or low lawn chairs. Leave the camera at home. They are assholes about cameras. Five dollar parking at the Titans stadium and a short walk over the pedestrian bridge with a great view.
Thanks! Tickets range from $30-$70 so I am hoping they let me choose for the presale. I appreciate the info!

The spring conflicts are starting to roll in. Inforoo, tell me which of these shows I should go to!
Kelela vs. Lucy Dacus vs. Bob Weir/Phil Lesh
Big K.R.I.T. vs. Shame
Superorganism vs. The Weather Station vs. The Black Angels/The Black Lips
Waxahatchee/Hurray for the Riff Raff/Bedouine vs. John Prine/Sturgill Simpson vs. Ty Segall
Also, while I'm here, is anyone going to either Margo Price or Fleet Foxes at the Ryman in May? Night 2 of FF is on my b-day and I have some friends in Nashville who've been trying to get me down there so I'm planning a trip to do at least FF, hopefully Margo too.

In the listed conflicts, have you seen any of the acts? Are any at venues you particularly love/hate?

Probably should've thought to note this originally.
Seen Lucy Dacus (a couple of times), Weather Station, Hurray for the Riff Raff, John Prine, and Ty.
Bob/Phil and Prine/Sturgill are both at Radio City, which will be a cool venue for the latter pair, less so for the former. Other than that it's a wash.

In that case, I would lean Weir/Lesh (they're getting to an age where this might be near the end of your chances to see them if you're into them) Shame (Big KRIT seems to tour relentlessly. Shame will get bigger or disappear soon) Superorganism (Black Angels were only ok when I saw them last Spring) Prine/Sturgill (The toughest choice but that feels like it could be a special show)

This is kind of how I'm leaning. I always figure it's best to see the most unique option. I'm debating on Weir/Lesh because as cool as it'd be to get a chance to see those two together, it depends what the setup is. I don't need to see two old guys play Dead songs on acoustic guitars.

Thurs in NOLA is perfect, get a three day weekend now! Howlin' Wolf has been pretty consistent for good oM shows since the Skeletal Lamping tour but I would love to see them at One Eyed Jacks one day.
Alrighty, so album #15 comes out March 9th! White is Relic/Irrealis Mood! Presale via Polyvinyl as always.

of Montreal was so fucking good at DfN. A little bummed they aren't coming back to Houston if its new material tour, also seems like theyre a definite no for Shaky add. But if you're thinking about it I would go.

Oh shit, I'll be in New York when she's there. Worth seeing? I remember checking out her album and songs and thinking they were pretty good.
