^^ What Holls said. The ATL show had me with some "im so overwhelmed right now" tears rollin' down the face. a couple times. ...I plan on being in the pit for RH at Roo. I think I've made up my mind. I've been wavering on the fence for a while now on whether to ditch the whole day and spend all my time in line for the pit. But... I think im like 90/10 now that I'm gonna do it. I didn't for AF last year, and Im a titch sad about that. So I dont want to miss RH.

My favorite part of the schedule is the fact that Foster the People is playing Which pre-Radiohead. It'll be a lot easier to get decent position for Radiohead than if Foster was playing What.
I think the fact that everyone is saying that might work against you.
This board is not the rest of the festival. Foster the People will be packed.
I set aside this morning to do some cleaning and packing in preparation for Bonnaroo. Palladia just happens to be showing Radiohead From the Basement, and I am immobilized as I sit here gawking at the King of Limbs material done live. Little cleaning and packing is getting done.
Damnit, Radiohead! You're distracting me from seeing Radiohead!

I heard they're just going to stay on the What stage all weekend. Like they'll play a marathon set until the morning light, and then take a set break and then come out and play whenever they feel like it the rest of the days. If acts are on the stage then they are forced to step back and take a break until Radiohead is satisfied and take another break.

I would just camp out at What all weekend if this was the case. I couldn't miss any of Yorkearoo
I had the chance to goto Coachella weekend 2 and while I thought Radiohead was pretty good, a good portion of the fest-goers seemed to disagree.
Radiohead, especially on this tour, have completely turned their back on the Pablo Honey-Bends-OK Computer eras. A lot of people in the general population obviously haven't heard they barely play anything from these records in the past 10 years.
The show is very different, even for a Radiohead set, they seem to have gotten away from the original composition of many of the songs and are taking a more trance-y rhythmic approach. While I enjoyed this I know many did not. About 1/3 of the way through their set many people started heading back to the campgrounds or to the other tents to see shows.
Anyone think we can expect to see a similar reaction from the crowd at Roo? Remember, King of Limbs is their least successful record to date and their not only playing a large chunk of it but also infusing that KOL sound into a lot of the In Rainbows stuff as well.
I saw them in KC in March and the set they played in KC is very similar to their Coachella weekend 2 set. I think only like three songs were different.
Bands generally promote their newest material in concerts. That's standard.
TKOL is an excellent album. I think it might be their best. I loved the show in KC and have no problem hearing TKOL and In Rainbows material with older stuff sprinkled in.
Their set in KC was almost 2 hours on the dot with 2 encores.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

While I'm not a big fan of TKOL album I do love the live versions of all the songs so I look forward to it regardless. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see a lot of Kid A, OK Computer, and Amnesiac though.

Have you listened to the From the Basement session of TKOL? The full video is on Youtube. That helped me go from liking it, to loving it along with the show I saw a couple of months ago.

After all this time I still can't get into In Rainbows though. I want to like it but it just has never stuck with me. Hope the live versions will change my mind. Looking at set lists have me excited. Looks like they're playing some good songs off OK Computer that they haven't played in the past. They could always play more Kid A though.

*le sigh* Radiohead.
See, I've been debating pit for RH myself. I don't know if my body is up for the challenge of waiting ALL day in the sun. But I know if the moment isn't perfect I'll be kicking myself in the rear.

I've decided I'm making a beeline for the rail behind the pit early in the day. If I get there at Sharon Jones, I'm pretty sure the crowd will change often enough to where I can be very close for both Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Radiohead. And if I manage to get the rail, I won't be watching the Avetts and RodYGab from a weird diagonal angle while I wait for Radiohead.
Skipping Trampled By Turtles and Ludacris sucks, but if I have a good spot all day on the main stage, it'll be worth it.
i think i'm going to head over to the what stage near the end of feist to check out the line. if it's atrociously long i'll head for the rail behind the pit. that should do.
They may go over a little, but I wouldn't expect anything more than 25, maaaaaybe 26 songs.
Woah woah woah. I've been told that the reason there's no Friday Which late night act is because Radiohead is going to play a MARATHON 3+ HOUR SET BRO. We're talking like 35 songs, deep cuts and sh*t.
That would be amazing! But why wouldn't they just list their set for that length? Also is this the first time there isn't a late night on the which stage on a friday or is this a common thing?
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
