A friend just text me today to see a show in August or September... and after some discussion she says, "should we just not, and save the money?" and I said, "yep. Instead, we take the money we would have spent on that show, put it in an envelope and put it under our mattress. Then we just drink a couple growlers on the porch or by the pool, grill out some food that night, and talk about our impending trip. We will call it... PreGlasto Show." So now we have a couple upcoming PreGlasto Shows scheduled for the summer.
I hope to have enough envelopes under my mattress by next January, that I can roll around in hundreds of dollars. then pack it all up and take it across the pond.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

One thing that should be noted is that Glastonbury has never booked the same headliner twice (to my knowledge), Radiohead and Neil Young have both headlined before. Also, don't forget that their are like 90 bazillion other stages going on during the headliner.
In case you hadn't seen this before, here was last year's glastonbury schedule in a grid format. This does not show all the small stages though.
I'm not so much going for the music as for the overall experience. If they book some great shows, awesome! But if not, that's totally ok. I am certain I will find plenty of things to hold my attention.

This is absolutely correct. What other festival has special unannounced guests like Radiohead and Pulp playing? None.
I do prefer last year's line-up over 2010 though. But it was still amazing.

I set a google alert for the term "Glastonbury 2013 tickets" a few months ago, and today I got two alert messages! So they don't really say anything about tickets, other than you need to register, but it was exciting nonetheless.
So what is everyone thinking for transportation and lodging? Are any of their tent tipi whatever options worth it? I would prefer not to have to fly internationally with camping gear.

Millets had tents and stuff that you could preorder and pickup. You could essentially buy everything you need when you get to the festival.
I still bought a decent tent here and weather sealed it. I brought my camping gear with me and don't really regret it, but it can be annoying to lug around. We stayed by the airport and took the bus to the festival.
So I have saved lots of money for a stupid wedding that never happend...long story short. After reading this thread and having this festival on my bucket list, it only makes sense. I have no friends or anything going so for this to happen I'd like to get in with some of you if possible. Just now starting to look into EVERYTHING involved which is a lot. But I have registered and have the money to make it happen.....if any of you inforoosters have any open spots for camping, logistics etc please let me know!

The more of us that are able to camp together, the better! Welcome aboard!
^^^Yeah, Druid, me and thatmeghan and Mr. thatmeghan will be having a Redbull sleepover with all laptops and desktops running. I'll have the gchat and this thread to post what kind of success we have. I dont know the limit to ticket purchasing, but if one person can get up to say, 4, then that's what we'll do until we get our 4 - then seeing how everyone else is doing we can jump in and attempt other purchases on the other 2 registered people. i.e. Mr. Thatmeghan gets through and gets the limit, then me and Thatmeghan can attempt to get the limit on our registrations.
I think that once tix are purchased, then we can all talk about where to meet so we can shuttle in together and attempt to camp together. WOO. im so excited.
