looks good except I don't think M83 or Beach House would play Thursday
Are they that much bigger than Deerhunter?
I would love to see M83 Thursday night because I think that's the best chance that he'd get a night set.
M83 has been around forever and thus aren't an up and coming band, which is what Thursday is for. They're way bigger than Deerhunter, too. They better come and get a LN spot, though!!

I'm not going to argue that they're probably too big for a Thursday night act, but you do know that M83 and Deerhunter were started in the same year, right?

I didn't haha. I kind of sound like a jackass then. I still argue that M83 is way too big for Thursday. Look how highly they were billed at Moogfest. Not super high, but above a fair amount of bands.
Since the campgrounds open a day early now and thus Thursday is really full, it makes sense to open the Which stage early. I know other people have talked about this too so it's not like I'm saying something new, but it seems like a great idea. That being said, do you guys think Foster the People would be a good Thursday Which headliner? They're getting pretty huge and seem like they could handle that even though they're a new band. It's not like they'd have the size of crowd normally found at Which, but they'd draw a lot of people and help ease up that thursday night congestion that was so bad last year. Anyone who was at Sleigh Bells knows what I mean.

Seems like a logical move and probably the only way Foster the People would be played on Thursday

And if you think M83 is a Thursday band you have no clue what you're talking about. They're only getting more popular since the release of the new album.

Only problem is it would be seriously packed. Foster The People became massive all of a sudden it seems like. I think they're better served as a What act on a different day.
Well, that's the point. Thursday has What and Which closed, which means the rest of Centeroo becomes packed to an uncomfortable level. If they had Which open and Foster playing on it, it would ease up congestion and give everyone a big name for Thursday. They're still a young group and probably wouldn't cost a whole lot compared to other Which bands. They would be way fun to dance to the first night. I saw them at Outside Lands where they played a fantastic set. People just love them, myself included.
I just hope they open Which on Thursday this year, and Foster seems like the perfect band to have on it. They'd have to find someone else too, as their show probably can't go a whole lot longer than an hour. You guys have other ideas of someone that could play Which on Thursday and fit the first night mold of being somewhat smaller or an up and coming band?

Whether it's Foster the People or not, I still think having a band or two play on the Which Thursday night would be pretty awesome. For example, Sleigh Bells was ridiculous packed this year. Having them play the Which stage would have worked out much better.
It was old and tired before this year, because it was not needed before this year.
But due to the campgrounds opening early, there was a significant change in the thursday night crowds. Definitely think a Which stage slot makes sense now, as well having the tents start a little earlier in the day.
My buddies just saw them last night in Columbus and said it was fantastic. They were playing their album for me the night before and it sounded like good stuff, I'd be on board with this.
I saw it already mentioned and I second a Gary Clark Jr. Thursday night appearance. For me, I think that would be a quacking great start to the weekend!
Also, a few years ago Back Door Slam played Thursday night and it rocked. I haven't heard or seen much of them since, I wouldn't be opposed to them coming back!
