I didn't have much issues with the dust and felt fine physically (other than being tired) but I woke up with a wicked sore throat today. Not sure if it is related or just coincidence and I'm coming down with a cold or something?
Mine didn't set in until late yesterday, but it's definitely related. As someone said, sleep deprivation (as well as trying to fight the heat) makes our bodies more susceptible to diseases. Plus with all the dust flying around who knows what we ingested. It didn't help that it was actually kind of chilly when I got home so I'm adjusting to an abrupt temperature change and that always hits me pretty hard.
I'm at work so no access to my netti pot. I did stop at Dollar General for some saline mist nose spray and that helps a lot - temporarily if nothing else. Just a suggestion.
I caught abit of a cold( stuffed nose, dry throat and abit of a cough)... But I feel like once I start to get more than 4 hours of sleep it will settle down.
My sinuses were a mess by Saturday so I left and grabbed some saline spray. I also used a bandanna over my nose and mouth for most of Roo. I think it helped considerably. That dust was ridiculous!! and we also were camped right beside the road in pod 6.
My bf has the runs and stomach cramps today, and my stomach was a mess pretty much the whole time but thankfully no runs, if that had happened I think it would of been game over for me.

Thank god for years and years of showing horses...my lungs are fully used to breathing in more dust than air, so I haven't had any problems outside of a bit of a cough and scratchy voice on Monday.
I haven't been on since we got home because I've felt like Leno. The cough and sinus issues are beginning to clear but the Bonnorhea is killing me and last night I spiked a fever. Went to work this morning and was sent home. Hopefully a few days and I'll be better.
BTW this was our 4th roo and never felt this shitty before
I had a fever last night so I ended up going to the doctor this morning. She said it was just a virus and to take some over-the-counter cough medicine. The symptoms should go away in 3-5 days. She also said that it was contagious and not to get too close to anyone. My grandma died last night and I was going to get together with family today but I've decided to stay home so I don't make anyone sick. I should be back to normal before the funeral.

Sorry Ally to hear of your grandmothers passing... our thoughts are with you. I also have the bonnacold.. stuffy nose, horrible cough and just all-around blues. Waiting for it to pass!

Dustaroo definitely got to me. I went to the doctor on Tuesday afternoon after having a super tight chest, cough, and awful sinuses. I got diagnosed with bronchitis and sinusitis, and got a prescription nasal spray and a steroid called Prednisone for my chest. I already feel some improvement, but man this sucks. Before I went to the doctor I had been taking mucinex and ibuprofen and sudafed, and that was helping a bit, so for those of you without insurance or not in the mood for the doctor, try those.
I threw up on Saturday night after waking up from a nap so I could go see Girl Talk. I hadn't had any alcohol or anything all day, so I figured it was from breathing and eating dust.
i havent been able to breathe properly for the past couple of days- i guess the tight chest thing is as close as you can describe it
i am a little bummed to hear the bronchitits and other stories, ive gotten pneumonia a few times and last time i almost had to be hospitalized so any time something like this is going around i have to be extra careful.
i didnt start using the bandanna until the end though so definitely my fault =/

Yeah I was trying to hold off on going to the doctor but people being diagnosed with bronchitis makes me nervous. My chest is still super tight and I am getting a great ab workout from coughing so much.
No rash here, but rocking the sinus issues as well. No fun.
I'm starting a full-on attack after work this evening. Mucinex, increased fluid intake, neti pot, vit c just in case it is a cold. I'm convinced it was the dust, but I suppose it could be allergies. I had JUST kicked a nasty summer cold the day before we left for Roo.
I'm going through the exact same thing right now. Had a bad cold for a week before bonnaroo and as soon as I left roo it came right back. WORTH IT!

I feel for you guys. I just got home from Roo yesterday (took the long way home!) and have been camping out of my car for almost two weeks... tons of dust got in my van and I think I've been constantly breathing it for the whole time. My ankles cleared up four or five days post-roo but I had minor Bonnarash practically everywhere (on my back from sleeping on my dust-infused air mattress...) and my chest feels like there's an anvil on it. That said, one night home in clean clothes/bed/air and I feel ten times better already. Those of you with the severe reactions, make sure you vacuum out your car and wipe down all your gear if you bring it in the house!

i am not alone! i am experiencing some grand mix of extreme sinuses, a cold, and bronchitis. it started early monday morning and has reached it's peak today, i am hoping to be on the down swing. i have yet to go to the doctor, just taking tons of dayquil/nightquil and using my inhaler as needed. i am going out of the country next tuesday so i am hoping that i am feeling a lot better by then.
as for the rash, i had that as well. it started to subside on monday night and by wednesday was mostly gone.

I've been having cold like symptoms all week and a sore throat this morning. I tried to run but my lungs weren't having it today. All in all...worth it.
i developed flu symptoms the day after i posted that i couldnt breathe properly. fucking lungs, man.
my dad actually suggested that i smoke pot haha. he was like yeah i used to know a guy who had some problems like you (seriously i've had pneumonia like 3 times in the past two years the last time was the WORST) and for some reason he swore that smoking actually helped. it seems counter productive but hey....
i can breathe now though so i'm not worried about that, ive just got a flu so i'm kind of excited that thats all i have, its worth it. i will definitely remember to use the bandanna ALL weekend next year
The dust was giving me major sinus and asthma attacks during Roo. I've been congested since getting back but am finally about back to normal. My girlfriend is still coughing frequently.
Dealing with dust is not rocket science. After 10 years you'd think they'd figure out how to not make thousands of their customers sick.

I'm convinced that going VIP this year is the reason I didn't get sick after Roo. This was my 5th Roo, 1st VIP and 1st time not getting the post-roo flu.
It was less dusty in VIP and I was able to wash my hands with soap and water. I've always used the antibac wipes with a vengence, but I think the actual hand washing and showering made more of a difference than I thought it would. I was also able to get more sleep and walk way less in the terrible heat.
All this combined with being surrounded by dense crowds less frequently than when going GA made it easier on my body and my crazy weak immune system.
I did get the bonna-rash for the first time this year, pretty sure from the grass. I'm glad we put a ground cover down or it probably would've been worse. It's not itchy anymore and mostly healed now.
It is pretty clear that my leg got the bonna-rash, but i'm questioned whether my back did. My back always had a shirt on and it has cleared up but the skin is still painful and now I have a bump between my shoulders that hurts quite a bit.

Our campsite was on 2nd Ave, which basically kicked up dust everytime someone took a step. I still haven't washed off my car and it's caked with dust. This year I didn't do anything to protect myself from dust other than use my misty mate in my face while walking down the roads.
Monday and tuesday last week, my sinuses felt like sandpaper, Wed-friday was runny nose flu symptoms, and I have been coughing up stuff and blowing my nose constantly since then. Still not fully over bonnaflu just yet, but almost there.

Two weeks later and I'm still sick with sinus stuff. I had a rash on my inner thighs which had me confused since I wore capris all weekend. The same kinda rash that was on my arm <shrug> who knows...another Bonnaroo mystery.
