I am currently on I-74 southbound near exit 49 ( about 2 hours out), and its been smooth the entire way and I've seen limited pullovers by cops.. even 81 was peasant when we were on it, minus a couple of work zones and even those weren't terrible.
Also, props to the huge amount of convoys I've seen rolling down from New England. not an easy drive.
I hope everyone else's drive is as pain-free as ours has been!

nterstate 65 southbound in Davidson County - Disabled vehicle PAST EXIT 96: RIVERGATE PKY. / GOODLETTSVILLE (Mile Marker: 95.0) reported at 2:20 PM 6/8/2011 and estimated to be cleared by 2:50 PM 6/8/2011 (Central Time Zone). Southbound traffic is affected with the left shoulder blocked.
Plenty of marked cars watching for speeders, haven't seen anything unmarked yet. Are people getting randomly stopped and searched, or were they pulled over for speeding first?

Sitting in line about 1 mile from exit 111 I think. Can someone tell me how far the tollbooths are oncee u get off the interstate. Also, the cops are being very strict about people getting out of there vehicles. One cop told us if we get out of the car again they will move us to the back of line
don't f*ck with da police. keep it clean, keep it safe. we all want you to make the start of the festival as well as sticking around for the end followed by a safe return home. ya got plenty of time to party your butt off. in 2009 on the first day, by the time the second bands were playing in the major tents, i had seen 3 people pass out, eyes rolled back into their head, looking like they were dead. one guy even pounded on a dude's chest until he started coughing and spitting up blood.

I'm in NC on 74 west near Sylva. Had a wicked bad storm in Asheville with big hail but we're past it now. Bout an hour to the TN line and all those cops waiting for us. Glad we are riding clean

Just a heads up, there was an undercover gold Chevy Impala pulling people over on 24. Tons of cops in the Manchester area and quite a few idiots already found their way into handcuffs. Slow and low folks.
hopefully bfe will be completely full tonight so the rest of us going in tomorrow will be closer. anybody gotten word on people actually in the campgrounds on how far back/close they are camped?
