Looking for some advice. Heading to Roo in one day, eight-ish hours. I don't know a lot of the smaller bands on the lineup, so I'm hoping someone can tell me what shows are promising to be a good time. I like the high-energy shows of Matt & Kim, or Micheal Franti's in '10. Any show where people will be jumping, drinking, and being merry!
Hope to hear from you all, and see you tomorrow!!!

Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band, Apache Relay, Black Joe Lewis, The Head and the Heart, David Mayfield Parade, Graveyard, Justin Townes Earle, Greensky Bluegrass, Walk the Moon, Jeff the Brotherhood, Fences... Just to name a few
I gotta recommend The Knux on Thursday night @ 7. Check out their songs Bang! Bang! and She's So Up. I'm really looking forward to seeing them, I just hope I make in and get set up in time.
Also, later that night on the same stage is Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, aka Troy from NBC's "Community". He's got a great EP out, and I'm sure that show is going to be a blast.
"Walk tall, kick ass, learn to speak Arabic, love music and never forget you come from a long line of truth seekers, lovers and warriors" - Hunter S. Thompson
Definitely check out Deerhunter on Thursday night. They put on a hell of a show, and I'm sure the semi-late night set will inspire them to make it even more incredible.

My take on the Knux... Their show at Roo in 09 was INCREDIBLE. Their show at ACL '09 was great, but almost EXACTLY the same show (including crowd talk) as Roo. Their show at Voodoo the same year? meh. They showed up about an hour late, used the same crowd talk, and got kicked off the stage after about three or four songs for inciting chants against the local police presence (something I'm not against, but you DO NOT want to do it in NOLA).
I'm sure the show at Roo will be as awesome as the last time they were on the farm, and my girlfriend and I may go see them depending on what we feel like at the time (kinda want to see Best Coast again as of me writing this).
