Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I didn't have anyone in mind, but Prince is a good option. Obviously Daft Punk won't happen, and I highly doubt Lady Gaga will. Perhaps another big rapper, but I can't think of any that big who haven't played Roo before (excluding an Outkast reunion). I could see Bjork doing it if she weren't already booked in Europe at the time.
I don't think it really matters, though, if it "makes sense" musically (if that's what you meant, which I'm not sure that it is). Just because you're there to see one doesn't mean you need to be there to see the other. They have plenty of turnover on stages/tents all the time from one band to the next.
In terms of making sense playing at Roo, I'm trying to think of anyone I can (remember Jay-Z was partially unopposed, so have to be close to headliner status): Prince Rage Against the Machine - seem like they'd be better LN Pavement - doubtful they'll play again, but if they do end up doing another tour Gorillaz - doubtful they'll be playing this year Watch the Throne or Kanye - I guess possible. Doubt Jay-Z would want the same slot again if it's WtT though. Depeche Mode - too big? Muse - seems better LN, but still kinda doubtful they wouldn't HL friday My Morning Jacket - I guess it's unlikely they come back, and might be billed below Paul Simon Pixies - if they played, it seems as good a spot as any, I just don't know if they're that big. I'm kinda leaning towards they aren't.
Realistically: Prince, Kanye, Muse, Rage, MMJ are the only ones I can even think of.
I guess it is really unlikely.
Pearl Jam? Did a Canada tour this fall followed by a South American tour. They toured the U.S. in Spring 2010 for Backspacer, but maybe a U.S. Spring tour for PJ20?
^^^Took the kids to see the Muppet movie this weekend and thought of your avatar^^^
Go see it if you get the chance
My rotten little sister already took them . Oh well we can go again.
On a side note I am pretty sure when roofan was talking to Jack White the other night he got the headliners whispered to him . Something about one band for all three days that rhymed with Shmish.......

And during that Canadian tour they were unreal as usual. Opened with Release in Calgary as well as playing a lot of rare stuff. The show was the day REM announced their break-up so they played a song they did with them as well. You just can't go wrong with PJ.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Lady Gaga - Paul Simon - Furthur - The Raconteurs - The Roots - The Allman Brothers Band
The first fake I've seen that I would consider skipping.
Just putting things in perspective and no, I don't think Prince will play. Don't worry, there will be somebody or some band totally out of left field on the lineup that will make everybody go hmm, interesting...or WOW!
I did have a dream last night where I went to a Bonnaroo where Steely Dan was LN and many other incredible acts were playing but the ride to get there was entirely fucked up with many women distracting me along the way.
