I'm really pulling for insider to be wrong for the first time ever...at least on the RHCP front.
I'd rather have RHCP than have her credibility ruined.
Yeah do not doubt her best to have one band you do not want then three bands. Radiohead alone redeems these headliners! Phish is cool with me. And I always wanted to see RHCP simply out of nostalgia! They do have a deep catalog.
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
There will always be bands I want to see. I don't care if she's right or not. Not like we won't find out eventually. RHCP has a deep catalog - but 100 songs of sameness doesn't excite me. They're Nickelback with hip cred.
I respect anyone's like of any band. Just disagree. Completely. Oh and using Rock and Roll HOF as a measuring stick can actually hurt a music argument...
Wow, nothing actually went on on here today.. Guess it's a safe time to ask: is it funny that I was offered a job to be Head of Security at Full Throttle Saloon this week?
Did anyone catch Bon Iver on SNL tonight? I have never seen them before, but they were very impressive to me. I listen to a song here or there, I like the sound and the music but their performance was really very good.

Are they always like that live?
They're twice as good when you're there. Justin Vernon and his band are truly talented

Comparing RHCP to Nickelback is completely unfair. I'm not saying RHCP is outstanding but like people have said they do have a deep catalog with a lot of great songs that they just don't play anymore. Flea, Chad, and Frusciante (I know he's no longer there) are some of the better musicians in history. Kiedis flat out sucks and their new stuff isn't too pleasant. But comparing them to Nickelback? Come on.
apparently Madonna is going to be accompanied by Cirque du Soleil, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A., LMFAO, and Cee Lo Green during the Super Bowl Halftime Show...this could be really bad (or good, but i doubt it). it's going to be interesting to see either way

Whoa. That halftime show could be absolutely amazing. It's a slim chance, but it's there. Cee-Lo and Madonna doing "Like A Prayer" could be crazy good.
