The festival will culminate with Allman Bros. playing "Mountain Jam", while The Dead play "Dark Star", while Widespread play "Red Hot Mama" all on the What stage together. Warren Haynes will play for both Allman and The Dead at the same time while birthgoat flicks his bean to the sanctity of Bonnaroo.

let me be clear, if the headliners turn out Radio, Phish & RHCP I'll be totally stoked - i've wanted RHCP to headline for years now - I'm simply pointing out the trend over the last two years or so. Also, who else here, other than myself, was at the first Roo? and have subsequently attended more than they missed? i may not live my life on a message board but i'll guarantee you that i've logged much more time at Roo than most people here....anyone remember the first year when they were running out of ice & most of the port-o-potties were stacked up with poop coming out of them? those were the days.....
FYI the reason why everyone is saying that is because there is a member here who goes by the name 'insider' who has leaked the headliners with 100% accuracy every year since 2009. about 2 weeks ago she told us that the headliners were Radiohead, Phish and RHCP, so you can count on those 3 being there with pretty certain confidence
thanks for the 'insider' information!
like i said, i certainly hope it holds - i would seriously consider attending this year if so!

Dude, I know you've been around since day one, but doubting Insider makes you Bennyg's special little brother, Equating Arcade Fire to the KOL Ham Sandwich gets you the front seat on the micro bus. What flavor is the window/

shows what you know - i'm the 5th headliner this year! suckaaaaaaaz.....but thanks for playing....
;D
and seriously.....chill out....totally not the roo chill vibe dudes - i've already stated that i don't spend my entire existence on message boards so i'm not "doubting" insider at all - i simply didn't realize this was 'insider' information....but really who the hell cares, it will be official in a few days & we'll all know everything so to be so negative about hypothetical headliners is totally un-roo & counterproductive IMO.....you act like i pissed on your rug or something.....
the past few years Roo has tried to appeal more to mainstream audiences - so as good as it sounds, I don't think the Radiohead-RHCP-Phish headliner is going to happen. Who is this years Arcade Fire or Kings of Leon? Also there's usually a rap/hip hop act - i'm thinking Snoop & Dr. Dre, aren't they touring together now? But moreover one of the headliners will have to have a number one record in 2011 - The Decemberists? Adele? Coldplay? Justin Beiber!? HA!
this years 'kings of leon' is rhcp. they are about as big as you get in mainstream rock.
sorry i cant fathom comparing arcade fire to either kol or rhcp
Bro! Just chill bro! I'm totes just spreading positive vibes. Just stop being such noobs. Don't you know who I am? I'm that one guy who's been to at least one more than half of every bonnaroo.
EDIT: seriously bro, just roo-out and act a little more roo

Lady Gaga really how did this conclusion come about I am away from the board for a few hours and this comes up? I am going to have to go back in the thread and read more now.

I barely follow threads until about this time of year, but I have to say it makes for great entertainment. As basically an outsider looking in, I find it somewhat ironic for people arguing about who is going to play, the source of their info etc when it doesn't really matter cuz 99% of you are going to Roo anyway. Why else would you be blowing up this thread? with so many acts, would you really consider not going if one of the headliners u want to see isn't booked? Sure a festival of this size is all about the music, and there will be plenty of good music, but to bicker about things that are way out of your control seems a bit quacked up. I'm not saying there aren't a ton of positive things going on in these threads, cuz there are plenty of good things, but lets not lose sight of why Bonnaroo is so amazing. No matter who u are when U show up to Bonnaroo, you won't be the same person when U leave Bonnaroo. Right? Ok then carry on. As you were lol
Actually it is a Mozart song, ICP sang it, and Jack produced it.
It's not a Mozart song. It may take from a Mozart song, but it's an ICP song. It's just like we don't call any of Girl Talk's tracks a Lil-Wayne-Beatles-Of-Montreal-Wiz-Khalifa-Journey song.

The entire reason I'm on these boards is to try and find out as much about lineups as possible to make my summer plans. Honestly I doubt I'll be at roo, though I'd like to, but so far the concrete-esque rumors aren't doing squat for me, honestly every festival announcement this year has been incredibly underwhelming. I'm holding out for Roo, All Good, and Hangout. I'm really hoping those 3 pan out.
I don't even believe this dude when he says he was at the first Roo
Obiviously somethings gotten off track here - i was simply trying to make my headliners prediction & observations - i'm not sure why it's elicited such a negative response but TRUCE okay - didn't mean to step on any toes here, that was not my intention....
it's hard to keep track of the roos after 10 years but i just looked them up & here are the festivals i've had the pleasure of attending 02, 03, 04, 06, 08 & 09 - i haven't been the last two years but am seriously considering making the trek again this year....i don't know that anything really compares to the first year because no one knew what to expect - it was all new & i had never had an experience like that....Del McCoury ROCKED it - tons of energy at that set - Claypool seemed like the Ambassador of Roo, he was all over the place.....and Trey coming out the second set alone, hitting those first few chords & everyone screaming "WILSON" was enough to give anyone chills.....i wished i would have checked out Norah Jones though - she was there just before she blew up....it got kina hairy for a bit like I said because out in the campground the trucks were literally running out of ice & obviously with the heat that wasn't good....the port-o-pottie service was spotty & by Sunday it was almost impossible to find a clean one - most literally had shit overflowing - it was really disgusting...does anyone remember what the stages & tents were called then? i know it wasn't Which, What, This & That & the Other Tent didn't even exist but I can't remember what they were called.....also the campgrounds were called something different but again i can't remember what it was.....anyone remember?
And since predicting the headliners seems like a moot point - who has been your favorite headliner throughout the years? For me the hands down favorite is Neil Young - that was one of the most rockin'ist sets i've ever seen....Phish Friday night 2009 might be second.....Dylan is listed as a headliner but he played in the pre-head slot & his setlist from that performance was one of his best ever....i've seen probably about 50 Dylans show's & his Roo set is my all-time favorite!
