I can't wait to see the undercard as none of those three names do much fer me at all. But headliners are like sugar free icin' on a diabetic friendly cake to me anyway!

Not to be a jerk but how did you guys get hung up on Radiohead / RHCP / Phish questions when you could have been asking Insider about the other headliners????????????????
Ah whatever, she probably wasn't gonna give anything away anyhow.
In other words, I think that both bands are comparable in size but I think its pretty obvious that AC/Superfly would give the nod to Radiohead and give them the prime Saturday slot as they really are almost perfect festival headliners based on the overall crowd that goes to Roo.
Giving RHCP the Friday headliner spot is a huge deal too...and I think if it were 2002 RHCP would be a Saturday act but they've lost Frusciante and just aren't what they used to be...but they still are a very good grab for the festival. They've been around FOREVER and know how to put on a show.
I am pretty sure RHCP will most likely not play Friday. They never play 3 nights in a row and for the 3rd night to be an extended headlining festival show just would not make sense. I think we get RHCP Saturday either with Radiohead or with Radiohead playing Friday. Maybe Foo's will pop up and another old school act ala BB's.
Been gone all day and come home to find out insider posted tonight. Her, "Let me what I can come up with post", makes me believe that she will drop at least 1 more name on us. Possibly 2 or 3. I bet there is one act in the process of being signed on and she is waiting to give us the other "prime time" slots once everything is complete
I don't know why we do this, but if we take last's year schedule and synch it up to what we have right now... Besides the fact that I don't think they'll play Friday, I don't see RHCP "opening" for Radiohead, in a sense, or vice versa. In my opinion, it's gotta be: Friday - ??? > Radiohead, Saturday - RHCP > Phish, then I guess if we just HAVE to have another Phish show, that can close out the festival on Sunday (which gives me plenty of time to get the fuck out of Dodge).
I mean, I'm not even going to argue about what band is 'bigger' between Radiohead or RHCP. But those are 2 out of your 3 big headliners, I don't see them doing both back to back, unless we get another big act (which I doubt).

I didn't know insider posted, so I went to look at her posts... and the last one is her apologizing for not knowing if it's 1 or 2 sets. She shouldn't be apologizing, I think most of us think we're entitled to what information she knows when that's simply not the case. It's a blessing in itself that she thinks so much of us and this board that she risks... whatever it is she's risking (job? spouse?) just to tell us a handful of headliners.
I don't know if she was joking when she said she was sorry, but I for one want to THANK insider for just being around and being the authority that she is on all things secret and confidential. <3

well said, casey.
we appreciate her very much, and it's cool you took time to express it.

I see we're back to this argument.
I was going to include "as mentioned many times" in my post, but it really does add a little more intrigue to the story.
So... is it even possible to consider Radiohead - RHCP - Phish - Watch the Throne ?
While that seems too fantastically top-heavy, given the tendency for festivals to bring on smaller names as headliners in recent years, is it impossible?
The only way I can justify it actually being a possibility is by telling myself that if Bonnaroo thought Coachella had Black Sabbath - Radiohead - Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, they themselves might have went all out to compete.

Thank you insider for everything! I wish I could ask her if there any "female/female lead bands" acts in the top six? (Portishead, Bjork, Adele, etc..). I know Bjork has been semi-ruled out but I cant wait another two weeks for the lineup. This anticipation is killing me.

insider should never feel the need or have to apologize to our community! And while I can't speak fer everyone, I don't think most of us here feel any sense of entitlement. I think it's more that we as a whole just want to know as much as we can, and anythin' we can get from her is greatly appreciated!
And I'm not sure that insider is necessarily riskin' anythin'. After somethin' like 3-4 years of givin' us some of our top billed acts, and with Gary Chardonnay (who is definitely workin' fer AC/S) also on our little board, I think that AC/S at least knows of and probably tolerates her/his leaks.
Whatever though, I'm just happy as all get out that insider has been so kind as to stop by year after year!

It is possible, but not likely. And Watch The Throne would be billed 2nd for sure
only @ inforoo would you find ppl talking about an NFL punter in a Headliner Speculation Thread
maybe he's gonna play triangle for the Polyphonic Spree but again, not for the Headliner Speculation Thread
Polyphonic Spree already has more triangle players than can be counted. Even if he was a middling punter and legendary triangle player, he'd rate no better than fifth-chair on stage with them.
Unless he busted out some kind of crazy, experimental punter triangle.
I still find it hilarious that even with Radiohead - RHCP - Phish as our top line people are STILL trying to squeeze in another headliner-size act. Has 2010 taught us nothing? Be thankful we have three real headliners.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
i don't necessarily think people are desperate for another headliner as much as it just seems like a possibility that we're getting one. The fact that she said she doesn't know if phish is getting one or two shows leaves very much open to debate the possibility of another headliner-worthy act gracing the farm with their presence this year, Not to mention she said she was going to be back in about a week possibly with more info, so that could also very well be taken as her saying there are more names. However, she might just come back and tell us the order in which everyone is playing, which would still be fine with me. We should never get our hopes up too high, and I am more than happy with how things are looking now. Still, it is a speculation thread, and things are still open to speculation

Im incredibly grateful for Radiohead-RHCP-Phish. However, the way she is wording things, it sounds like were getting something else. Not necessarily a big name, but something remotely surprising

I don't doubt she probably has more names to give us, but that most likely includes preheadliners. And if Phish isn't getting two shows, I highly doubt we're getting a late-night What stage act this year.

I wanna live with a Cinnamon Girl. I could be happy the rest of my life, if NY/CH plays.
For what it's worth, one of my friends that is a huge Phish fan said he's seen the leaked Summer tour dates online, and they had Bonnaroo listed for the 9th or 10th, he couldn't remember.
Saturday & Sunday makes sense, since they're apparently doing 2 night residencies in most of the cities they stop at. Saturday is RHCP into Phish LN, and on Sunday they close out the festival. Makes perfect sense to me.
well insider came through and confirmed 3 of what she calls "headliners". I think foster can very easily pre either friday or sat so in my mind there are at LEAST two half decent big names left...who?
