Here's some things i'm not too sure if anyone has seen yet (possiblities for '12)
- First off, as we all know, Kasabian HIGHLY rumored to play. - Major Lazer looks avaliable for Roo. They're playing Free Press Summer Fest June 2nd. - Wilco is playing Optimus Primavera Sound June 7th-10th (along with the Drums & the Walkmen) which makes it highly unlikely they'll play (hopefully they will work something out where they play the 7th in Portugal and play Roo on Sunday) - Mastodon & Metallica announced they are playing Nova Rock in Austria (same weekend as Roo) - Black Sabbath, Metallica, & the Prodigy all playing Download Festival in Donnington, UK same weekend as Roo. - Alice Cooper is headlining Bloodstock Open Air in London (same weekend as Roo) - Florence + the Machine is playing Hurricane & Southside Festivals in Germany the weekend after Roo. I'm sure I am not the only one who wouldn't mind them coming back. - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band have made it official they will be playing multiple European festivals this summer. - Madonna highly rumored to be playing Isle of Wight this summer. I'm sure ACe would love to give her a slot on the farm. - moe. and Umphreys McGee both back playing Summer Camp again this summer (as always). Wouldn't doubt it if they play again considering they are available & both majority crowd favorites. - SBTRKT is playing Primavera Sound but not Optimus Primavera Sound (Roo weekend), which all other Primavera Sound acts are playing. LN set would be more than enjoyable. - Guns N Roses, Rammstein & Radiohead all have announced tours either on the road now or mid 2012 with available dates during Roo weekend. - Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Foster the People, Young the Giant, Jane's Addiction, Skrillex, MGMT, Thievery Corporation, & TV on the Radio have festival dates set up for Spring/Summer 2012 with no dates during Roo weekend. I can see each of them on the line-up this upcoming year. - RHCP have dates announced all through 2012 but none during Bonnaroo weekend.

Ya I know, the mocks are always void of female acts. Same with older, solo "classic rock" acts like Fogerty, Jeff Beck, Gregg Allman, etc. Just too hard to predict ahead of time.
I have Janelle Monae and St. Vincent. Crystal Castles, The Kills and tune-yards all have female vocalists too. Florence is certainly a possibility for a big comeback this year on a big stage,I was thinking of swapping out Ben Harper for her.
Any other ideas of some Norah Jones/Regina Spektor type female singer-songwriter acts for this year? Or older, solo classic rock type guys that will be on tour?

-Portishead -i believe Sara Bareillis coming out with an EP, -she's not near as big, but They could bring Lissie back -are the Yeah Yeah Yeahs a possiblity -Gossip? -Amanda Palmer/ Dresden Dolls -Fiona Apple (oh only in dreams)

I bet we see Little Dragon, Wye Oak, and First Aid Kit on the farm this summer.
As for bigger names... maybe Dolly Parton? Madonna? I still think Nicki Minaj is a good possibility.

Jimmy Herring, from what I heard is leaving WSP. Atleast for awhile. But I still wouldnt count out good ol Panic. Phish would be amazing, but I wouldnt think it....but i hope your right

Other than a few accoustic dates Panic is taking 2012 off. However Herring is working with a band and loves to play with Crnl. Bruce Hampton expect to see him at Roo but he will be back with Panic. Dave Schools has a side band Stockholm Syndrome and they sound good and I expect them to be at Roo as well. Expect Schools to join in with Jimmy for a few Panic songs and Herring to join with Gov't Mule for a couple of Dead songs, then don't be surprised to see all of them join Furthur for either/all 2nd set closer or encore and expect that encore to be Touch of Gray.
Rule #1 of Bonnaroo pre-lineup: That headliner you really want to be there isn't going to be there
Ugh, I know, but I can't help it. It seems every day, we're ruling out someone else as a headliner. And right now, he's the #1 artist I want to see in any form or fashion so I just like to add him into the discussion.
Rule #1 of Bonnaroo pre-lineup: That headliner you really want to be there isn't going to be there
Ah but if we predict the same person every year we will inevitably get them by sheer numbers and they will eventually run out and have to recycle. Yes this sounds like a gambling addict with a pocket full of ones jamming them in a slot machine but eh? worth a shot.
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
The Dream lineup that would make almost everyone happy
Radiohead, Daft Punk, Phish, Steely Dan, Oysterhead, Primus
Friday
Steely Dan 8-11 Daft Punk 1-4
Saturday Oysterhead pre headliner Radiohead 9-12
Sunday Primus Which Closer Phish 8-12 (with Les guesting in the Phish set.)
Define "everyone." The only act on there I'd be really stoked about would be Radiohead. Other than that, it's any over-hyped EDM act, some Dad Rock, and three jam(ish) bands. Seeing as how Oysterhead basically sounds like someone made a mashup of Phish and Primus, you don't need all three there.
But if they did it that way all three would be there. I mean contrarian positions aside I think that would be a pretty well liked lineup. A Radiohead return for the indie fans, Daft Punk as the first EDM headliner for the EDM fans, and Phish which would keep the jam crowd happy and WSP/DMB out of the mix, along with the Dan, which Dad Rock or no is pretty full of smoking good beats and funky riffs.
I do not think we will see two repeat headliners n a year, but like I said it is a dream of a lineup
