I Europe Radiohead would always win, in the US they are popular, but certainly not a Springsteen level act or anything.
im not sure they arent on the Springsteen level in the US, at least in the festival scene. Theres not many bands I can see being billed above Radiohead.
Any Stadium band, any Pink Floyd Member, a lot of bigger pop acts, all would be billed above them.
Add in the fact that Phish is not touring much this year, and Bonnaroo is the only camping festival they will play other than their own, and it is not that far fetched. Radiohead is all over this year, they are not nearly as big a get as they were in 2006.

Do you still seriously think Phish would be billed above Radiohead?

ANY stadium band would be billed above Radiohead? I'd say that's a bit of an exaggeration.
This is a one off. I don't think it means there is a tour or more shows coming. Macca seems to be a very far reach at this point
Eh, not so fast. McCartney is now doing 3 one-offs in a short period of time (Olympics, Grammys and this). Plus he had a new CD released today. I would expect to see a McCartney tour announced VERY Soon.
I have been forced by members of the board that it is an impossibility (although I secretly still have hope) of him playing at Roo because of what is already on the lineup.
The board is always right.
As an Inforoo noob you may not trust me. But, as a huge Paul McCartney fan, you definitely should. The fact that Paul hasn't announced a tour means nothing, really.
In the past few years he's announced his tours 1 - 2 months before they happen. And, they're usually "announced" the day before tickets go on sale. So it would be very unusual if he announced a summer tour anytime soon.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure he'll tour this summer - he did in 2009, 2010 and 2011...

Stadium, not arena and yes any band selling out huge outdoor sports stadiums would be billed above Radiohead. U2 for instance. There are a lot of hardcore music fans who really love Radiohead, but they are not really that big in the mainstream world.

Gotcha. I just immediately thought of arenas. Still think there are exceptions. I think Radiohead would be billed higher than Foo Fighters who have sold out stadiums. That's just one I thought of off the top of my head.

Yes, notice Phish is rumored to be getting 2 spots at Roo, Radiohead 1, to me that means Phish twice as big.

Seriously? Then are you saying that Phish is bigger than Bruce Springsteen? String Cheese Incident are bigger than RHCP and/or DMB (they have 2 sets at Hangout)?
Shaggy is stooned, munching a hot dog while hauling a stack of arepas back to camp. He's not even into the sets with his headphones on. Dude next to him is clearly having a bad trip.
The crowd that was at Mumford last year. Bonnaroo's twitter saying "so yall like Mumford, huh?" right after they played. It kind of felt like they knew they could be a headliner. At least thats how I felt. Anways moving on. I just wanted to see them again. Can't wait for the lineup.

I just recently started posting more, but I think last year when I was reading that I remember you being the guy who kept insisting that Arcade Fire wouldn't headline. Am I correct?
