Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
AF is scheduled to play 2 1/2 hours....... I hope I can get into them by bonnaroo, might as well since there's nothing else going on. I've listened to funeral and suburbs multiple times now and I just can't get into it. Oh well I'll keep trying. Anyone know any older material that's good?
They're only scheduled an hour and a half. 12:00-1:30.
If you're not into them.....I suggest getting a super close spot for a late night. Nothing quite like that.
This conflict makes absolutely no sense at all.
Why not?[/quote]
1. You're right about the hour and a half haha i'm retarded haha.
2. Do you mean 11:00-12:30?, I hope you do, otherwise this schedule I'm holding that I just printed off is fucked.
Ah I will have to look at it better I have heat stroke been outside mowing and toughening up myself like a Spartan for Roo'. It's all ggod though after you think you are going to die you can get born again.

Yea it's 11:00-12:30.....my mistake. But yea.....if you can't get into them I'd suggest checking out the first half hour of their set then head over to the late night of your choice. It's worth the hour or so wait.
EITS VS. the Strokes VS. Superjam VS. Beirut ='s Stupid
Who makes the schedule...really...
Even worse than Mumford VS. Avett
I hate the conflict just as much as anyone. However, Strokes are a perfect fit for Which closer and EiTS are perfect as a tent closer. It sucks but that's the way it is.
Really wish Superjam and/or Beirut were Saturday afternoon-ish instead, but what can you do.

I'm sure I'll change my mind several times before and at the fest. This is going to be really fun.
Which acts are you looking forward to on Thursday? I need to start my research.
Also, I get the feeling that AF and Eminem will play a little longer than their scheduled time.....though I did find it odd.

The schedule I'm looking at on Flickr says 11:00-12:30 on Friday. I'm not sure what to recommend if you don't like Funeral or The Suburbs, as their only other album (Neon Bible) is their weakest effort IMO.
itrainmonkeys - lots of great acts on Thursday this year. Futurebirds is kinda like psychedelic Americana, almost some sort of weird hybrid between The Shins, Fleet Foxes and MGMT. Hayes Carll is a singer-songwriter of sorts - kinda country-ish, kinda folk, kinda honky tonk. His song "KMAG YOYO" reminds me a lot of Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues". Karen Elson is an alternative/blues rock queen, she recently came out with her debut album that was produced by Jack White (who's also her husband). The Knux makes some great alternative hip-hop - a lot of it is guitar-driven, and some of it is kind of N*E*R*D*-esque. And J. Cole is probably the second most exciting thing in hip-hop right now after Odd Future. The Walkmen are fantastic, I've been listening to them since high school and got to see them here in Boston in late 2006 - amazing show. Their album "Bows + Arrows" is an underappreciated classic of the 2000's. The Drums are like a modern twist on classic surf rock with an "indie" touch, and a lot of their songs are very percussion-driven, as you'd expect. Deerhunter are phenomenal, sort of a late '60s / early '70s throwback with some more modern elements of alternative and noise rock added. Beats Antique are all over the place - a bit of electronica, world music, hip hop, psychedelic, experimental, etc. Sleigh Bells is somewhere between garage rock revival, electronica and alternative, with a fantastic female vocalist. And I'm very psyched for Dam Funk - he's making some of the dirtiest, funkiest, most booty-shaking beats right now. I know a lot of people are excited for Wavves, but personally, they're not really my thing. Really though, it seems like it'll be hard to end up at a bad show that night.
Check some of these songs out, see if anything strikes your fancy:

The Knux are really good. I remember seeing them on Thursday night in '09 and being very impressed. It was like the exact opposite of how I felt seeing People Under The Stairs that same year.
