Very cool, but also kind of frustrating. I like the personal touch Wayne puts on these recent releases by hand delivering them to Oklahoma stores, but it's kind of frustrating that I can't get one of my favorite bands' past two releases because I don't live in/anywhere near Oklahoma.
Yeah, I wasn't quick about it either. I just think, even if they aren't fancy and individually colored, they should do a wider release of the split ep. Who knows, maybe they will.
As for the gummy thingy, I'd probably eat the fuck out of that thing, so I wouldn't worry about it getting gross.
I'm cool with just black vinyl, where did you hear that?
If you follow Wayne's twitter (or the unofficial Lips message board) he's been giving updates on when and where you could get the split EP. He has said there will be a black vinyl version, which will hopefully sound better than the color pressings.
Also there will be similar releases with collaborations with Prefuse 73 and Lightning Bolt in the near future.
