Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
i can see how getting your picture taken could get your imagination running in the wrong direction. my advice is bring a suitcase full of disquises and change into a new one everytime you go back to camp. sunglasses are a must, shifty eyes are a dead givaway, and remember to take your meds with you.

CORNCAT Rules!!!
I have this hilarious mental image of a scene similar to one from Billy Madison where a cat bullies up a kid and then raises their fists/paws in the air and proclaims "CORNCAT RULES!"
There are narcs where there is music. I have had little old me be asked for drugs by narcs at all sorts of concerts - festivals and small venues and stadiums alike. I say I don't know what you're talking about, I smile (I have a great smile by the way) and I go and enjoy my show. Everyone needs to make a living, some jobs I admire more than others...
What I hate more than anything are those paranoids people at shows who keeps whispering in a voice louder than a yell "dude, that person is a NARC!!!" and freaking out the crowd around me, making everyone care more about the person in the very fresh tye dye than the SHOW. Boy that sucks.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, there were no drugs anywhere at bonnaroo!
Also to the guy wanting to make his own festival, good luck. There is a lot more to planning that up than it looks, and good luck trying to make a profit without proper sponsers (for example: EVERY FESTIVAL HAS SPONSORS, so dont b**ch about them, if they were not there bonnaroo would not be there).
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
I didn't see any UCs ( but, perhaps that means they were doing their job well, I guess). The only encounter I had all weekend was Friday night at the campsite. Two mounties came strolling through right after, and I mean split-second, after we had lit up.
I just couldn't help to feel a little scammed; that was probably the most commercialized event I have ever been to. I would say that roo has less than 3 years left before its played out and so commercial nobody wants to go... unless the lineup is good right?
As I see it, sponsors like Xbox help to fund the festival and it's a win win situation for both Xbox and 'Roo. It may be a little lame, but that's just how things seem to function in the U.S.
If we're worried about roo changing for the worse, well who better than previous attendees (who they know is a large source of their profits) to write letters to express their concerns? Hopefully they'll listen, but if not we can at least say we tried.
We'll need a lot of people to writing so that it is obvious to Superfly that there is a large population of attendees that feel this way - one email won't likely get their attention, but hundreds or even thousands should do the trick.

One thing that kinda sticks in my craw about the little beer keg rant: Vendors have to pay to hawk their stuff at 'Roo. Vendors have to have vehicles to get said beer to 'Roo. Vendors have to fuel and maintain said vehicles to get to 'Roo. Vendors have to employ people to make said beer and get said vehicles to 'Roo. Vendors also have to employ someone to make those fancy banners and tap handles at 'Roo. Vendors do not live on the street, nor make their beer in a public water fountain; they have houses and breweries to care and maintain. Vendors are entitled to make money and live a comfortable life, just the same as you or I.
Drinking beer on someone else's property is not a right, it's a privilege. Get over your sense of entitlement.
[edit] And with regards to sponsorship: I wonder how quickly you would change your tune if Superfly dropped all sponsorship and raised GA ticket prices to $1000 per person?

Whatever, too bad we can't all be as cool as you are.. I wouldn't mind being asked 2 or 3 times but when they are funning into me, kicking me as I sat, and following me for over an hour I get irritated . Never said a word to anyone until I got outta there never yelled narc.

so you are saying the cost of the beer was directly related specifically to Tool and The Police being booked??? Ummmm wrong - the beer was just as expensive last year and is just as expensive at other festivals

Ok, after reading roughly 2 pages of postings here I'm going to resort to a previous quote:

just cause my karma rating is low doesn't mean Im stupid . It means that I'm not afraid to offend some people.
No, your karma is low because you pretend like you know everything when you don't, and then when someone proves you wrong, you call them a know it all in order to try and offend them as an attempt to convince yourself that you're still right. Way to go. Take your negative three karma and go offend some teddy bears at your daily tea party.
Nobody calls spooky a know it all hippie around here... we all know that Corncat is the only true knows-all being around ;D
