I am hoping that Dawes , Delta Spirit, and Middle brother are added. Deer Tick is there already. Maybe McCauley will do some sit ins/super jams. I was very happy to see Deer Tick on this lineup, hopefully their friends will follow them to the farm.
Umphrey's, Blackstarr, Galactic, Derek Trucks Band, and a miracle hail mary Trombone Shorty & Ocean Avenue Sunday show after a Saturday night show in South Carolina.

I am seriously going to break something if Fitz & The Tantrums don't get added. They had already confirmed with a couple of people on this board, so I would imagine that them along with Black Star and maybe Massive Attack along with some others that haven't been "confirmed" or whatever so far.
somewhere over a band's management rainbow I heard there shall be no Lunar Stage // whatever that might do to the line-up or what may or may not replace it - is totally an excellent question
Yea are they having a lunar stage? thats the best thing
This year the lunar stage should be covered in an anechoic dome made out of plastic bottles left from previous years. This way those of us who don't plan on staying up past 4am can get some sleep.
Yeah, for real. The Lunar Stage is the herpes of Bonnaroo, because whether you like it or not, its not gonna stop. Thursday last year, they played the same song for over an hour. It just kept repeating "I'm in the HOUSE!!!". So annoying, but there were a few hundred people loving every second of it. To each his own i guess

Yeah, I remember Lotus couldn't hear themselves the Lunar stage was so loud. They tried to run a sound check and couldn't hear anything. I mean, I enjoyed the lunar stage one night myself, but I could definitely see how it could bother people.
Is it seriously that hard to book Fleet Foxes? Again they are absent. Once again.
This. I'd ask for one or two of any of these:
Fleet Foxes Two Door Cinema Club Cake BlackStar Lupe Fiasco The Roots The Ravonettes The Radio Dept. of Montreal Gang of Four Yo La Tengo Ryan Adams & the Carrdinals Girls Interpol Duran Duran

Some of these smaller bands that were "confirmed", but aren't on here (Fitz & The Tantrums, etc.) are probably cafe acts. I wouldn't worry, they'll probably be on that announcement.

My Son spoke to Fitz after their show in KC last Friday, he asked if they were going to play Bonnaroo , he said no they were playing Lolla, looks like they fell through. Big disappointment to me, my said they were great live.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

I wonder how hard it is for ashley capps to convince the white stripes to play one final show. All he has to do is say "Hey meg lets play one more show".

So, probably a big act or two (Black Star and Bright Eyes maybe?) Several smaller acts, probably including reggae. Also, the adds usually include bands to placate the "roots" crowd, so probably Galactic/Garage-a-Trois and something like YMSB. As well as a few, random, smaller acts like Yeasayer or Delta Spirit.
Then maybe in place of the Latin Tent announcement, we'll get the Gogol Tent announcement (hopefully with Titus Andronicus)
Then a Comedy (Colbert?) and Lunar announcement (Flying Lotus?)
And Cafe Acts Announcement with a bunch of cool little bands.

well i hope thats not true. i know some changes are needed with it, but getting rid of it is not the route to go imo.
Flogging a dead horse (alternatively beating a dead horse in some parts of the Anglophone world) is an idiom that means a particular request or line of conversation is already foreclosed or otherwise resolved, and any attempt to continue it is futile; or that to continue in any endeavour (physical, mental, etc.) is a waste of time as the outcome is already decided.
I still think U2 will be the late addition Saturday night headliner and Eminem will be late night. Not a big fan of U2 but Eminem is very hard to believe. The whole gap in the U2 tour just doesn't make a lot of sense unless Bono needs to save the world around June 7th or some bullshit like that. Considering the Nashville show is sold out and most of the big festivals are selling out. I wouldn't announce U2 as a headliner until late in the game so fans could buy tickets. Maybe a coincidence that's been pointed out so many times before. Shit just doesn't add up. What the fuck was Thom thinkin...

I don't think that's the way the festival organizers think. I don't think that they care if "true fans" get to purchase tickets, they would rather ensure a sell out.
I think it is doubly true that they'd like to sell out quicker than Coachella. In fact, a quick sell out this year helps them sell tickets next year. ('Don't get left behind this year, get your tickets before they're gone!')
Eminem may not be everyone's idea of a Bonnaroo headliner but that's who we've got and they really are a "get" for the festival -- a unique headliner that is phenomenally successful both critically and commercially.
(And, unlike you, I would be thrilled with U2 headlining.)
It's also important to note that Conan was a late add last year too, and was like 5 on the line-up. There's only one or two other comedians that could be billed that high so it's safe to say that addition karma will likely be translated into bands I think.
