This is why I love this man. Straight and to the point.
Nevermind he's calling me stoopid.
No offense intended! It was 6 am and I was really surprised to see people posting saying the additions were friday when we've been told the additions are today. Also I'm a twitter whore and yes I don understand it can be confusing at times, what with the retweeting and time stamps.
I like the comedy additions, bring on the bands!
No worries, none taken. Even I thought it was funny. I got worked up thinking that it might be tomorrow instead. Logic goes out the window on Inital line up, additions, and the dreaded schedule days, for me.
That isn't the full comedy list. At least I doubt it is because they said more than 20 comedians, so maybe Colbert gets added way late as an MC. If not Colbert, Lewis Black FTW!

The guys from the league make up 4 people. The guys from workaholics are also 4 people. Henson thing seems like a few puppet guys.
I think this is the final lineup. There's over 20 people on there already.
Well looks like I won't be checking out any comedy this year. Saw John Waters last year at chella and Lewis Black in the past. Maybe I'll get into workaholics, the promos seemed pretty cool. Possibly Donald Glover if the line isn't to long. But after waiting 8 hours for Conan last year, I doubt I'd be very motivated to wait on anyone this year...

While there are some sweet comedians on this list, I doubt anyone will have even 25% of the wait that Conan did. He was riding on an unreal wave of popularity that peaked the weekend of Roo.

How was that Waters set at Coachella, jonesjupiter? Was it stand up or interview style?

do comedians run throughout the day or how does that work, i would hate to have to choose between a band & comedian, there would be to many variables for my brain to compute.. i feel that will be a distinct possibility tho

It was stand up. I'd imagine he'd do a similar set.

The more popular comedians perform earlier in the day. Usually you'll have multiple chances to see most comedians. Also, there will be conflicts all weekend, regardless...

They run throughout the day but usually have a few sets so you may have to skip a band but you have a couple of chances to choose from.
My question seems to have been ignored. Is there anything more to getting into a comedy show than waiting in line? Someone was explaining something to me about getting tickets last year when I was waiting for Conan but it was way too early in the morning after a long night for me to even hear what he was explaining.

I didn't go last year but someone said it was similar. The last year I went (2009) they did this:
You go to the comedy tent and pick up a pass for the upcoming show. IF you want to see the show at 4:00 then you can pick up a pass immediately after they start whatever show is before it.
You pick up a pass and can either sit in line and wait a while until the show you want starts (some people do this if they want to be front row and stuff) or you can walk around, see shows, and come back right before the comedy show you want starts and be guaranteed a spot because of the pass you have.
I'm hoping they do this again. It was much better then the past when they just had an immensely long line that you'd sit in the heat for an hour or two not even knowing if you'd definitely be able to get in

Other than Lewis Black, John Waters, Ralphie May, & Cheech, I don't know any of these comics. I'm behind on the new comics on the scene. I need to get researching.

Okay here's the deal with the comedy tent. Unless they go back to 2008 ala Chris Rock, there will not be a main stage comedy performance but instead everyone will be performing in the comedy tent.
When the schedule comes out the comedy tent schedule will be just like all of the other stages. Some comics (or groups of comics) will do more than one show, for example The Daily Show All Stars did at least two shows and it might have been more than that, I don't remember.
Also read the schedule carefully because sometimes one comic will be in two or three different shows with a different mix of comedians. A couple of years ago they had the Comedy Carnevale or something like it and there were 5 acts but I think they rotated so that only 4 were in each show.
If you have someone you MUST see then you need to go to the comedy early on the day of their show and find out when tickets will be given out. They are free but you need to get them. I seem to remember that with the exception of Conan you could get most of them HOURS before the show and then just show back up later for the performance. Last year they put some kind of limit on the tickets, I think one or two per person (again don't quote me) which was kind of a pain in the ass but what are you gonna do.
If it turns out that you do not want/need your ticket give it to someone or bring it back to the comedy tent. If you don't have a ticket you're not getting in.
A seat and air conditioning should make trying this during the heat of the day a tempting proposition.
Anybody know if the movie tent works the same way.

Wow, if Donald Glover is in the comedy tent, he would be the first comedian to ever tempt me to go in there
His summer tour is of music venues with Childish Gambino opening, probably a good bet Bonnaroo will get the same thing. I think they should give him the Other Tent.
