Eddie Vedder would be a pretty huge add. Personally I would rather have Elvis Costello... not sure who/why he came up, but i think that would be a great fun show.
Anyone else think Eddie Vedder could be an addition? His solo tour just went onsale last week with high demand and the tour starts like 3 days after Roo. I for one would be super psyched for that add...
I think it is a possibility...
Also, in response to the person who said "No Rome"...why?

Oh man if that happened I think my husband would go bonkers. ;D (I'd be pretty psyched too!)
I haven't seen anyone mention Bonobo being a possible add. He's playing Sasquatch May 30th and Electric Forest on June 30th. He'll probably add some more US shows between those two dates.

How many other tent/stage acts do you expect that we don't know?
Didn't we also have some talk of Tim Reynolds Trio being added? or at least being in negotiations? They could be added to the list as well.

Well if we got rome I would imagine it would be different then the album. When you think of the album there are the following that I would find difficult to get to tenn. together:
- 80 year old musicians (not to mention from italy, it would be a stretch to get them out there) - Jack White (he has other projects, but some of those are at bonnaroo so i could see him being there) - Norah Jones (again other projects, she just came out and laid down vocals for the album)
another factor, the music and vocals were recorded at different times and I'm not sure if they ever worked directly with each other. This is a 5 year project...
I really want to go, but my friends don't want to go. So I'm sort of in a spot where I am just hoping there is some amazing addition where my friends will all decide they are down for the trip. I am really hoping for something epic.

I seriously have my fingers crossed for this. I posted about Vedder solo on the farm months ago because of his Solo tour that went through Australia. I commented that he would for sure be adding U.S. tour dates, and was told that he probably wouldn't be. Now that he has, my hopes have come back. We'll just have to wait and see.
Usually I would not expect it. That would be a pretty big Addition. But this year, the way they are doing things. Who funkin knows?! I expected adds weeks ago and still nothing. So maybe something big is in the works.
We need some good hip hop added...so far we have atmosphere and thats it. quack em and wayne.
J Cole dude. Check him out- he is a slick, though provoking, smart dude that is very legit
And all this Eminem hate stuff boggles my mind, how can you be a fan of "good hip hop" and not realize how sick he is lyrically. I don't jam Eminem every day or anything by any means but he is obviously leagues above most everyone else with his patterns, word play, delivery, ability, etc...
I understand the Wayne hate a little, but still- if you actually listen to his verses (forget all his singles and MTV videos) and learn what he is saying, and your a fan of "good", "smart", hilarious, profound, witty verses I don't understand why you hate him so much. People just hear his voice and then turn off their attention. Just because you like "good hip hop" doesn't mean you have to be afraid to like Wayne.

I think the problem stems from Eminem's first 2 albums being masterpieces and then the rest of his career being a sad attempt at living up to those albums.
But whatever, I'm psyched to see em on the farm regardless, because I'd never pay to see an Eminem show at this point, and so this'll probably be my only chance ever to see him. Hopefully he'll play a few Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers cuts and I'll be a happy man.

Yeah but masterpiece albums are so few in general anyways. There hasn't been a hip hop masterpiece album from anyone since 2005 (maybe Food and Liquor). And really, besides Stankonia/Marshall Mathers/Blueprint/and maybe College Dropout (boooo) and a few others like Stillmatic, MadVillian, Blazing Arrow--- there hasn't been a classic hip hop album at all since 2000...
Just cause an album isn't a grand standing masterpiece doesn't mean his skill and verses aren't still insane...
Ok heres the problem that I have..lets start with lil wayne...I can't take you serious when the beat drops and its this comical snare hit party club beat. You mentioned madvlllian...madlib would never put out a lil wayne album..his chops are a joke in comparison to mf doom. I listened to lil wayne in small doses and already he had completely recycled his vocabulary in less then one verse. I guess its cool if you prefer your music to be played in club.
I enjoyed eminem's first two albums, in fact i owned them. I heard him on saturday night live with lil wayne and he killed wayne. I mean wayne was a joke standing next to him. Em had him in every area. Em has the chops, but I don't want to listen to him with wayne or rianna or whoever the flavor of the month is.

I guess my point was that-yeah, you'll think Wayne is a joke if you only listen to him in small doses. And he isn't about his "chops"- he is more about having every single line in his song have double meaning. I think Wayne is just as witty and genius as Doom, they are just different. And no, I don't listen to Wayne for club music- that's what made the Carter 3 pretty mehh, it was more poppy and clubby than his other stuff.
Seriously, listen to the whole Carter 2/Drought 3/No Ceilings and tell me he is a joke. It's a joke that everyone refuses to give his NON MTV stuff a chance. There is a reason so many people like him, and it's not because MTV plays his shit.
And sure Em killed Wayne...Em would kill anyone. That's why his show is gonna be super tight.

Drought 3 is what I would tell people to listen to and expect that type of stuff. And Wayne does use a live band, so his shows aren't just club beats and radio hits. He actually has a lot of friends in the music world, so it wouldn't surprise me if he had fellow Roo performers come onstage for some wild collaborations.

Upcoming GPN tour includes dates with the Avett Brothers and Ben Harper, as well as a Grace solo performance with Stevie Wonder and Janelle Monáe at the Hollywood Bowl on July 24 More dates to be announced.
I agree, way to big for a tent unless it was a LN show. I found their entire set from 2009 in 10 minute chunks on youtube. The sound quality isn't great but their show was. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Hanni El Khatib is also listed on the Windish Agency site.
Hanni El Khatib is touring partially with Florence and the Machine, as is Twin Shadow... so Hanni is probably a guarantee.
