God I hope so. To not take advantage of all that talent in the same place at the same time is kinda crazy. And with all the connections between artists this year...I think there will be a ton of awesome collaborations.
I hate to say it, but collabs have fizzled out. Anymore, Bonnaroo is just another stop on a long tour for many of these bands that have 6-7 other festival performances.
Though, I still expect we'll see a few over the course of the weekend.

There are always some good ones, and the fact that they announced they are concentrating on it is why I started this thread.
Grace likes to get around, her with Warren in '09 was fantastic! I missed the awesome moe. thing
This year my fingers are crossed for some Grace/Jim James!
all of this. i have been listening to a ton of grace potter & the nocs since the lineup came out, and im pretty much in love. normally dont like too many bands with female vocals but she just kicks ass.
im personally hoping for a neil young+mmj+grace potter cortez the killer...i can dream anyways

She has a show on the 11th, so she's basically locked into a Friday show, which limits the acts she can sit in with. Sucks, I remember '09 when she was everywhere, it was awesome.

Q. duet partners Hey Grace, I loved the surprise duet w/Oliver Wood in Atlanta on Saturday night! Who else would you love to sing with? Any chance of more surprise duets @ Bonnaroo? * – February 28, 2011 2:18 PM A. Grace Potter : Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys is at the top of my wish list. The dude has some of the most soulful pipes of our time. – February 28, 2011 2:27 PM

Also this, the whole thing is a good read, I learned a lot
Q. Bonnaroo Experience As a Musician I enjoyed your 2009 shows at the festival, where you seemed to be nearly everywhere (including a 3 a.m. or so "band switch" where you all gave the band "moe." a breather by phasing in to take their place (and then out again without the music stopping). Is there a lot of interaction among the musicians there? Are you in tour buses behind the scenes hanging out during the day time, or is everyone at hotels? Are there "talent tents" that facilitate interaction, or is everything set up in advance? * – February 28, 2011 1:41 PM A. Grace Potter :
Great question! There is definitely a spirit of interaction and collaboration at festivals. Usually we just bump into each other at the catering tent. That's where most of the magic happens...while we're stuffing our faces! I can't speak for other bands, but we spent the whole time at Bonnaroo on site. I tried to go to the hotel to shower once and got stuck in traffic! I'd rather be dirty and there than clean and gone! That's my old Phish kid coming out.... – February 28, 2011 3:23 PM
Grace Potter and Dan Auerbach eh? That would be interesting. How many times can Dan get on stage at Bonnaroo this year? At least 3 if he does team up with her for a tune. Does anybody know what the most stage appearances but one person in one year is?

I figured that we'd see Grace guest on the Dr. John/Dan Auerbach superjam instead of Dan coming out for Grace.
If we're lucky we'll get both but I think Grace in a song or two on superjam is more likely.
I think dan playing with jessica lea mayfield is doubtful. I seen her open up for a solo dan show and alas he was not there. The parts they play for each other on each others albums is minimal. He produced her last album and did not play guitar on it and sang limited back up on one of the songs.
MMJ will surely bring someone out for their set; however, i doubt that we will get to enjoy a preservation hall/jim james combo like we did last summer on tour.
In the article Grace really appreciated MMJ's music and it also sounded like MMJ got along with her pretty well during the interview I wouldn't be suprised at all if she came out during MMJ's set

Jack White will be this year's V.I.P. I imagine he'll show up at at least Loretta Lynn, Wanda Jackson, Karen Elson, and Superjam. It'd be really sweet if he showed up at MMJ. I'd love to see him and Jim James duke it one on One Big Holiday
Dan Auerbach will likely play with Jessica Lea Mayfield, as he produced her new album.
Robert Plant will probably show up at Alison Krauss or vice versa

Grace Potter won't sit in with anyone after Friday. She's playing California on Saturday. Doubtful she'd go from Roo on Friday to Cali on Saturday and back to Roo on Sunday.
