If they were to play non-BS songs, I'd think they might be more likely to play a cover, something like Woodstock. And maybe CSNY songs would be more likely than Neil solo or Crazy Horse stuff.
Stills-Young Band
Also with Dr. John being there and playing Saturday I'd say Down to the Wire with him as a guest is quite likely. for the unfamiliar it was recorded for the unreleased BS album Stampede (with Dr. John on piano). This is the version on Neil Young's Decade compilation.
Would make being denied from heaven in the rapture that happens this weekend worth it.
Since Bonnaroo has been talking about how they are trying to have more collaborations like in years past do you think we can see a lot more people guesting during this set? I mean it's Buffalo Springfield and it's potentially their last show ever, you know everyone wants to play with them.

My dream solo NY song request is "Harvest Moon". I know that's a cheap choice, but I think it's one of the most perfect and beautiful songs ever written/performed. It's probably because I'm a girl...
Hooowever, I love the dude who says CSNY would be the non-BS songs of choice--HEAR HEAR!
The long and short of it is that none of us will know wtf they plan on doing until they do it...which is what makes it so flipping exciting!

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

It has been speculated/hoped for that there will be some Fall dates, too. But there is nothing more to that than people speculating/hoping for non-Buffalo songs at the Bonnaroo set.
I feel pretty confident saying there will be at least a couple non-Buffalo Springfield songs played during this set. While I don't think the Bridge School Benefit is an absolute indicator of what we'll see at Roo, I do think it gives a pretty good idea. Buffalo Springfield doesn't have a huge catalogue, and this set is twice as long as Bridge School - I'm expecting at least a couple songs from CSNY, Stills-Young Band, or maybe Neil solo. Oh well, we'll have a much better idea in a couple weeks after they do the California run.
The last show they have announced is Bonnaroo. It's potentially their last show ever. It's still up in the air whether they will perform again or not.
This will not be their last show. The California tour is just a warm-up to what will be a significantly longer tour that will take place later in the summer or early in the fall.

I think he is haha. I'm starting to get the feeling Silentjay is a real idiot.
Actually....I think his point is that Buffalo Springfield doesn't sell out huge stadiums and Eminem does.
He doesn't make any claim that Eminem plays less than Buffalo Springfield.
Nothing idiotic about his statement
Well the point is that BS hasn't played in years, so you wouldn't know if they could sellout stadiums or not. I'd bet that they would. He also called them a one hit wonder earlier in this thread, which is beyond idiotic.

You are right....we don't have a great way to know if BS could do it. But I don't think they'd sell out the same amount of tickets Eminem would if they played the same arena. That's speculation on my part.....how big are the shows they have planned for June?

No, the point is that Eminem definitely sells out stadiums. All silentjay said was that Eminem has sold out big sports stadiums. You guys gave him Leno for something he didn't say (that Eminem plays less shows than Buffalo Springfield).
I'd bet that they would. He also called them a one hit wonder earlier in this thread, which is beyond idiotic.
I wouldn't be so sure of that. And to the general public/casual music listeners they have one hit: For What It's Worth.
Obviously they have a full catalog of amazing songs we know and love.....but if they were in a trivia game they'd be known as "the band with Neil Young/Stephen stills that played the hit song "For What It's Worth".
