Yeah, I hadn't really thought about it, but having Buffalo Springfield on the Which unopposed, without screens, is going to be waaaaaay crowded and tough to see them unless you go to Mumford and stay there.
Is this the first time they've had a show on Which unopposed?
That's why I'm gonna go to Old Crow Medicine Show and just stay there

you've got 3-4 neil songs in there. I would imagine they are going to play Buffalo Springfield songs

Im gonna hang tight after Mumford and bring an extra bottle with a screw on lid in case I have to pee. Or just quit drinking water an hour before Mumford so I can get down front dehydrate pass out and be hand fed water by Neil Young to be revived and the medics will scream not to move me and I can watch from the side of the stage!! Now that is a motherfucking plan!

lol right on! I must say though, a plus side to the heat last year was that it was sucking the hydration right out of me. I think I peed 4 times while at roo, all before I went to bed, not because I was holding but because I didn't need to since I was constantly being dried up by the sun! lol.

Fixed
ooh gonna have to disagree, If I could have only 2 neil solo songs I'd take Everybody Knows this is nowhere and either Crotez or after the goldrush. Those 3 would be my most wanted. best 3 neil songs IMO. Plus your sets a bit short.

Was more trying to bring it back to BS songs. I seriously doubt we'll get any solo Niel songs. I know LMYR is a Stlls-Young song but it's 2/3 of BS and I do think they'll play it.
And I would be thrilled if they played more than that.

Yeah, I think the Bridge concert shows that we can expect a solo song or two, and with the larger time slot, I think we may get more. Possibly a CSN&Y song or two, and maybe a handful of Stills or Young solo songs

I'm sure it's not going to happen, but I would love to see "Pay the Price". While I'm asking for unrealistic things, I may as well ask for "Leave" -- Neil would burnnnnnnnnnn the house down with the solo in that song. Hell, the whole song is practically one long Neil shred session.
And as for chances of Neil solo tunes, I'd say chances are pretty slim. Buffalo Springfield didn't technically play RITFW at the Bridge shows, it was an all-star encore with all the Bridge artists that just happened to come after Buffalo Springfield because they were the last act of the night.
However, you just never know. I'm counting down the days until June 1 so we can see what these setlists are gonna look like!

well neil is a bit crazy so he could be strict or he could break out something. he has been playing some new songs lately and since hes on tour and going to play in europe too i would say that its possible that we get a neil song. also......i would think that he could end up playing something with someone else. hes friends with MMJ and also arcade fire. they are both repeat bridge school artists and he doe so songs with other people at that at times.

This need to be reiterated. If you expect a Neil song you will likely leave disappointed.

I expect 1 Neil solo song, I'd love 2 or 3, but I won't leave disappointed if that doesn't happen. There's a bunch of BS songs I like just as much as Neil songs. Actually If given the choice I'd take BS over Neil Young just because I love all 3 of BS albums, but as for Neil Im not a big fan of anything post "Rust Never Sleeps" (1979).

Like has been said, we'll know whether or not they're playing Neil songs prior to the festival since they have some dates beforehand. Of course, there's always a chance they don't play them on their normal tour, but we get a crazy encore jam like at Bridge
BS, BS Again, Last Time Around ... 34 songs and 100 minutes. Leave out a bunch of songs to make room for extended versions (i.e. Bluebird), song breaks etc, maybe a few other songs found on the boxset. That is pretty much the set.
I'm not going to expect them to play non-BS songs, they don't need to, and I'd be perfectly happy if they didn't. But if Stills and Neil decide to engage in a Down By The River guitar duel, I won't be complaining.
If they were to play non-BS songs, I'd think they might be more likely to play a cover, something like Woodstock. And maybe CSNY songs would be more likely than Neil solo or Crazy Horse stuff.

Stills-Young Band
Also with Dr. John being there and playing Saturday I'd say Down to the Wire with him as a guest is quite likely. for the unfamiliar it was recorded for the unreleased BS album Stampede (with Dr. John on piano). This is the version on Neil Young's Decade compilation.

...says a guy on a message board...
Do you not believe me? I'm just saying when Neil does something he does it all the way. A big part of the reunion is he wants to recreate the original Buffalo Springfield shows. That is why Furay is singing the songs that he sung on the albums even when Neil is more famous for singing the song later in his career. The Rocking in the Free World encore the second night of Bridge wasn't even really part of the Buffalo Springfield set, if I recall correctly Furay and Stills didn't play or sing on it. The verses were shared between Neil and Eddie Vedder. I am a huge fan of Neil and I would love for him to play a song or two but I don't think it will happen.

If they do play a Neil song, though, it will more than likely be "Rockin' in the Free World" as an encore. But I still think that's doubtful.
