If people disliked Skrillex because he was popular, how would you explain Daft Punk?
If Daft Punk had been touring all over the US, and played at every festival since 2007 the haters would be out in full force. They are popular, but a hard act to catch in the US, therefore the haters can then talk about how they saw them and you did not.
Radiohead is extremely popular and always have a lot of US dates when they tour, yet they don't get hated on too much. Where do they fall in these "rules that haters follow"?

Has Radiohead toured the US since 2007? They are not they easy to see if they do not play.

This is so dead wrong by the way. This whole "popularity=lameness" thing you're trying to push on people on the board who genuinely like the music they like is really grating.

The whole your music sucks because it is popular thing you try to push on the board is no less grating.
Anyway fact change they have not toured the US in 4 years not 5. It is still not really like they are a constantly touring band or anything.

NO ONE SAYS THIS! I'm not going to insult you by listing my favorite bands, some of which, Radiohead, Neil Young, Kanye West, are super dooper popular.

Radiohead played a few shows in 2009 in Eastern Europe. Thom also did a world tour in 2010 with AFP. Radiohead played a few shows last year. They've been active almost every year, and when the band wasn't active, their frontman was.

Wait so wouldn't it be way more cool to love Skrillex at this point, considering how unpopular he is? I think that makes Phi the ultimate hipster dickbag.
DP is supposed to be coming out with a new album next year. Hope it doesn't sell too well or their tour dates don't sell out, that way I might have to stop liking them.
