She seemed to imply the hip hop headliner is the one that is being held up.
Also, if MMJ gets late night what there probably will not be a late night what on saturday, just a regular headliner after the keys with the late night being on the which stage.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
That would be ideal. But in insiders last post it seemed like she was saying the hip-hop headliner was the main HL on sat night (and still be worked on)
That's not how I took it. But that's the thing about reading a post over the internet. Sometimes it can be hard to grasp the context of the text.
Yea I hear ya... I hope you are right... A big Classic Rock HL like The Stones/Macca/Ect would be the icing on the cake...
I would still go but Eminem #1 on the bill would turn my stomach

And that Which LN would be Massive Attack... makes sense.

Whatever the case may be, I think we can all agree that hopefully there is only two more days of speculation before we get a lineup. Hopefully not a week and two days.
I think the two scenarios are going to be as follows.
Black Keys in Dead Weather Spot, and This Rap Headliner in Stevie's spot, no Jay Z Spot
or the one I'm betting on
Black Keys in Dead Weather Spot, Name to be announced in Stevie's spot, Rap Headliner in Jay Z's spot.
^This is how I understand it. And I think it's quite clear that this is how it is. One of those is what we'll get. TBK are not in Stevie's spot. Rap act may or may not be the main Saturday HL

I see the real insider showed up. Yes yes I was full of Leno. At least I gave you guys some excitement LOL (sorry.)
Its a bummer that WSP is closing instead of Furthur but Friday night is so sick it makes up it.
My take after reading thru insiders posts...
Fri - Arcade Fire (HL) ---> MMJ (LN HL) Also on What
Sun - RP & BOJ (Pre HL) ------> WSP (HL)
Those 2 nights seem pretty firm but sat night is where there is a bit of discrepancy. I thought at first she was saying there would be a classic HL on sat night followed by a hip hop act. In a similar sense as Stevie into Jay-Z... Something like The Stones into Outkast...
But by her most recent post it sounds like the main act after The Black Keys (Pre-HL) it will just be the Hip Hop HL. If that's true that is pretty weak for the 10th
Black Keys (Pre HL) ----> Stones/NY/ect (HL)-------- Outkast (LN HL)
SICK
Black Keys (Pre HL) -------- Outkast (HL)
WEAK ------------ (I guess we would have a MA LN on Which to improve this some tho)
I'm sure the Undercard will be sick but if the nights get worse progressively from Fri to Sat to Sun, That is pretty weak for the Roo 10th.
Just doesn't seem right to be to have Dr Dre/Eminem/Outkast to be at the top of the bill for the Bonnaroo 10th aniversery. Got my fingers crossed AC pulls through and gives us the big time classic rock Saturday Night Headliner that would final stamp on festival.
Either way I'm going and its going to be a sick time so I'm not all that worried about it.

If inside was only talking about the 6 primetime slots and not the jay z what stage late night slot... maybe the biggest draw of the year will be playing then? I think we could all picture Bowie or Prince doing a late night show. Or maybe it's not even a classic act, maybe it's Lady Gaga doing some of her weird shit. Just a shot in the dark over here, but the Main Stage on Saturday night is such a mystery to me
I had a dream that I saw the line up and the top billed spot went to a band named MOOSE.
So... I told you all about my Bonnaroo obsessing induced dream (well, one of many anyway), but what I didn't mention is that I woke up thinking about Muse or Modest Mouse. I'm not saying it's likely or even possible, and I have nothing to back it up with. The only reason I'm saying anything now is b/c IF it should happen, I want it documented for posterity and full credit for my "psychic experience"! kthxbye ;D
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
If these bands are real, this is a load of Leno. Wanee, Wakarusa, Hangout, and even Mountain Jam have similar if not better lineups.
then go to one of those festivals? if you honestly believe any of those lineups are going to be comparable to the full Bonnaroo lineup youre out of youre gourd. The most appealing of those festivals to me is Hangout because it has big draws i like and some cool stuff on the undercard, but the lineup is limited and when your third line is pretty lights girl talk and bassnectar it speaks volumes about the festivals lineup. Wanee and Mountain Jam actually look pretty cool too but theyre so one dimensional. ABB, Haynes, Trucks, Mule. Theyre talented guitar players but how many times do you really want to see either of them in one weekend? the biggest wow on either of those lineups for me is the Flecktones And im so not sold on Waka, outside of MMJ nothing grabs me until Mumford and Sons and its generic jamband fest all around.
There is no way A/C is going to punk out with such a bunch of crap for the 10th year.
Sounds like you missed Bonnaroo 2003 and are still in shock about it.
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
I have been racking my brain about possible Headliners and I keep coming back to the same three: Lil Wayne and his Young Money crew (Although it is believed he has been ruled out), Eminem, and/or Dr. Dre. Outkast is not happening and Big Boi is already there. Gorillaz broke up, Beasties may never perform live again, ATCQ is not big enough to headline and Wu Tang probably isn't either. Public Enemy, might be too soon and I see no reason why they would be placed any higher on the bill than they were last time.
Insider said no to Kanye, Jay-Z was just last year, and BEP really cannot be considered straight rap or hip hop. And after the Super Bowl, I hope everyone has lost interest in having them at Bonnaroo.
