Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
And this is why Boothead is banned from this site!
Inforoo has a great, professional relationship with the organizers of Bonnaroo. This type of behaviour is not what we want this site associated with.
In the past, Inforoo has been a source of TRUE, ACCURATE information. In the absense of accurate information, we leak nothing.
It really is sad that some people need that attention so bad that they stoop to these levels. I know it is just a fake Bonnaroo poster, but it goes further than that, you are fecking with peoples emotions here. The line up drop is very important to a lot of folks.
You spelled "absence" wrong.
I know, funny isnt it? Almost as funny as you spelling it wrong when you were first pointing it out to me, then having to go back and edit it.
Paste is only half the problem, and I agree with ITM in that you can't totally fault these guys who are chomping at the bit to get the scoop. It helps no one when some kids come along and make meticulous plans all in order to dupe these media outlets. That's totally different from making a poster for fun that a media outlet somehow finds and runs with. This was deliberate.
To say that Paste is the problem and "Boothead", or whoever, is blameless is like saying that Philip Morris has no responsibility in the illnesses/deaths of smokers.
And this is why Boothead is banned from this site!

It goes back to what I said before about some of the people on here. I really feel guilt by association to these smurfs. It is a lot more important to me for this website to have good standing with music publications than having a reputation for making fake lineups and pranking them. At some point it will get to where no one is able to make sense of the info on here because they do not know whether or not it is real, or it is from a little bored internet troll quacking with them. Grow the quack up or go get jobs so you kids stop being so bored you are playing pranks on musical magazines then bragging on here that this is where it came from.

Bonnaroo didn't seem to have a problem with the fake poster last year.
and that was much more widespread.
Boothead did go to extreme measures though, and that's a little much. Last year we just changed the color scheme of the poster from 2009 and that blew up everywhere. We were just having fun with it on here.
The good news is that anyone that comes here and asks about these fake posters is told right away that they are fake. And once the lineup really does come out, there will only be good (legit) information.....even if it's cluttered with 5 different topics for the same band and people arguing over who should be listed above who on the lineup.

So you think making a fake poster for on here and screwing around is the same as making a fake poster and sending it out as a real leak to generally correct music website?

I didn't spell it wrong, I just didn't put quotation marks around the word, "absence." Nice try, though.
I always assume when people revert to picking at someone's internet grammar in a post that they actually have just run out of valid points for their argument.

Funny, I think that exact same thing when people post image macros of cats in amusing situations!

no. where did I say that?
In fact, I stated that boothead went to extreme measures and it was a little much. I don't agree with what he did....doctoring e-mails and letters and contacting music sites and telling them it's real. That is too much.
When we found websites/blogs that were posting the poster last year most inforoo members would go onto that site and either e-mail or write in the comments that it was fake. nobody was really trying to pass it off as a real leak.
I love watching people lose their sh*t over internet message board shenaniganz. Seriously, it gives me a golly gee erection. You have no idea how hard I'm beating off to this nonsense right now.
If this is what turns you on I feel sorry for your girlfriend....
But I wasn't making an argument, Jess. Check back on the thread. Just pointing out a fact.
So you were not picking at his spelling on the first post on this page?
I was pointing out a word he misspelled, yes. But what I'm saying is that I wasn't making an argument that then got deterred by my correction of his spelling, as you implied. It was impossible for me to "run out of valid points" because I wasn't doing anything but pointing out a spelling mistake.
Has anyone mentioned that the fake posted didn't have anything on it about the 10th anniversary? That should have been a red flag that it's fake.
While you're probably right (and yes some others mentioned that) it's also possible that Roo doesn't mention the 10th anniversary on all the ads/posters/things they do.
But that's a good point and I think they will promote the festival as the 10th pretty hard.
