Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
oh and organization, not that big of a deal but yes I thought I forgot my phone charger and so I expected there to be payphones like stated on the site, well thursday night there were none and so I freaked out as my little babies were a along ways away, different country in fact and I had no way to get a hold of them. It ruined my first night, and I didn't see Temper Trap. Well not all of their set anyways..but thankfully I found my charger in the morn and all was well!!!
I know this will more than likely get moved . However this being the most traveled portion of inforoo I would like to bring up my concerns... This past Bonnaroo was my third and honesty I left disgusted....I would like to highlight what will make me not return to bonnaroo for the 10th anniversary if the lineup is not stellar....
1. How can you call yourselves hippie and throw out and or walk around that much trash laying on the ground...
2. While being searched coming in the gentlemen handing out bracelets had advised me his station was out of trash bags and recycle bags... Fortunately we brought a roll of trash bags for or neighbors cause they all didnt recieve one as well...
3.While entering centeroo I felt as though I was tormented by the security even being searched a second time after being nearly 100 yards away from the gate... Only to find nothing .... Either get smarter security guards or something stop harrassing us over your quack -ups
4. I love electronica in all forms but the solar tent last year sucked because its still ultimately is about music quality and well it was not up to par and ruined other music namely DEADMAU5....
5. Honestly Bonnaroo you lack in decoration yes the wall is great but look at Rothbury and sherwood forest you cant even compare in any way shape or form..
Feel free to add to my list Hopefully someone will see this and make some kind of a change at the top... I feel as a yearly goer this has become something of a home to me and it is being ruined by the drive to ever expand.... You sleep here for 3 to 4 days, right? does your bedroom look like that when your done....
Bonnaroo isn't about hippies. Bonnaroo is about everybody, and there's always gonna be a portion of everybody who will litter. While they shouldn't, tt the end of the day it doesn't matter because when bonnaroo is over the whole farm gets cleaned and the littering that happens during the course of the feat doesnt really have an effect on the environment. As far as Lunar stage goes I was glad to see it. Ive been waiting for Roo to get on board with electronics for a long time and it was good to see it there. But you are right about it drowning out the other stages which in my opinion wasn't necessarily wasn't completely the excess of volume at the lunar stage but also the lack of volume in the This tent. And for that matter I've felt like the volume in this tent had been lacking many times before the lunar stage was even there. I do like the idea of the lunar stage to be a tent with walls. That would help with the noise bleed. My vote still goes to keeping it. As far as the art goes, I completely agree. The wall and the mushroom fountain are great but they have been there for ten years now loosing their luster to repeat attendees like myself while other fests have stepped up the game. As far as heat goes more tents would be nice but what about more trees? They own the farm now and I think it would be great if they improved the landscape. I'm pretty sure it would be that much of an investment in the grand scheme of things. Everybody has their gripes about Roo but at the end of the day it's still one of my favorite places on earth. I hope they hear our voices and continue to make improvements and keep bringing the magic.
^Also it is pretty funny to me that you think hippies don't litter. Years of going to Dead, Phish, SCI shows, All Good, etc... can show you just how much trash the average hippie leaves behind. The only festival I have ever been to that was as clean when we left as when we got there was YMSB Harvest.
