How do you challenge people calling themselves hippie and then expect them to think ahead, plan and of all things put forth the extra effort to clean up after themselves? That is not what lazy slacker hippies do. They're lazy and they're slackers. Not to mention communists! This thread makes me lol. I thought this shit was over with after months of complaining after this years roo. Everyone agrees 2010 was not the best Bonnaroo but making a hundred different threads with numbered complaints isn't going to do anything.

I live near the beach and people leave tons of trash. I'm amazed at how well AC/Superfly pulls this off for so many. That said additional shade is a must! I skipped a couple of day time shows because of the heat myself this year.
And bring your own damn trash bags unless you need your mama to do it for you.

I know this will more than likely get moved . However this being the most traveled portion of inforoo I would like to bring up my concerns... This past Bonnaroo was my third and honesty I left disgusted....I would like to highlight what will make me not return to bonnaroo for the 10th anniversary if the lineup is not stellar....
I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but I think the response from AC/Superfly would be "don't let the door hit your ass on the way out." Jus' sayin'
2. While being searched coming in the gentlemen handing out bracelets had advised me his station was out of trash bags and recycle bags... Fortunately we brought a roll of trash bags for or neighbors cause they all didnt recieve one as well...
Ticket sales were bad early on last year, real bad. They didn't expect the crowd they got. Even if they did, there is NO way to give plastic bags to everyone. If you're so damn concerned about it, there are plenty of people to ask for your free trashbags after we let you in. It's a bit tough to get trashbags for the guy at the front of the line when another 80k is honking behind them, that's all.
3.While entering centeroo I felt as though I was tormented by the security even being searched a second time after being nearly 100 yards away from the gate... Only to find nothing .... Either get smarter security guards or something stop harrassing us over your quack -ups
There's a TON of security guards hired for Bonnaroo. Honestly, you have no idea. Most of them are regular people like you and me. Most of them just do their jobs. There are, unfortunately, a few bad apples that take it too seriously. Your best bet is to just avoid them without being suspicious and if you feel you were harassed, find their supervisor. The guys in the grey shirts are typically the Auditors, and would LOVE to hear a story about security guards harassing fans.
If you can't find the grey shirts, just look for a guy with the same colored shirts as the alleged guards that is either riding/driving a golf cart and/or has a walkie talkie. These supervisors are almost always by themselves or with one or two people.
4. I love electronica in all forms but the solar tent last year sucked because its still ultimately is about music quality and well it was not up to par and ruined other music namely DEADMAU5....
That's your preference. If a lot of fans agree with you, they will improve and deliver as always. Well, not always.
5. Honestly Bonnaroo you lack in decoration yes the wall is great but look at Rothbury and sherwood forest you cant even compare in any way shape or form..
The Sonic Forest is returning this year, correct? I agree in some small shape, but Sherwood Forest cannot be duplicated. I don't think any other "decorations" at Bonnaroo could come close to Sherwood,

I feel as a yearly goer this has become something of a home to me and it is being ruined by the drive to ever expand.... You sleep here for 3 to 4 days, right? does your bedroom look like that when your done....
Making a thread here won't get the attention of someone "at the top." Send them an e-mail at least. Maybe you aren't the only one? If they get multiple complaints about something, they'll change it.
They've been expanding way before you or I started going to Roo, remember that.
I don't have three to four (I stay for a little under a week, not just three to four) days worth of supplies in my bedroom. I also don't sleep with 80,000+ roomates either.

Aww you two, let's bring the love back into the room. What's satirical specifically is that all of things in the video are so absurd that you know the hippies got somethings right. Its the intense ridicule that the bloc gets for its sometimes overarching solution to views that most agree on. Like say needing to find a better solution to logging, or the fact that no one needs a f'n Hummer. Comedy is about exaggeration, gross exaggeration.
1.) Security is always a pain in the ass if you don't know how to deal with them or what you're doing. If you're having a bad experience its probably because you were either a douche or you picked the wrong line. 2.) The Solar Stage sucked donkey balls. It NEEDS to be re-worked. 3.) I'd love to see more decoration/art but not at the expense of music. 4.) Getting into the festival every year is always the worst part. This year was especially bad, but I guess that was due to the rain and mud. If there was one thing I wish could be changed about bonnaroo it would be this.
I would agree with you guys that exaggeration has a huge part in comedy but you cannot convince me that whoever made that video did it so hippies would see the irony and laugh. IMO i think the dude who made it was dead serious and probably thinks that video is so *bad @ss* and *hardcore* because dropping bombs, burning/cutting trees, and listening to the most stereotypical *alt rocl/Metal* is probably what he lives for. I'm willing to bet that this guy was so proud of himself for finally learning how to use power point to make such a bad @ss video that he spent his weeks pay on a shitty tribal tattoo; then, scrapped together some change to buy a 40 of PBR so he could get a buzz on while re-watching his anti hippie video over and over, while not once realizing that it had nothing to do with why a person should "hate a hippie".
I'm willing to bet that this guy was so proud of himself for finally learning how to use power point to make such a bad @ss video that he spent his weeks pay on a Leno-y tribal tattoo; then, scrapped together some change to buy a 40 of PBR so he could get a buzz on while re-watching his anti hippie video over and over.

First of all, I'm not a self proclaimed anything. I LOVE MUSIC and art, plus I like to camp and spend time outdoors. . . that's why I attended Bonnaroo.
My first time was 2010, but it will not be my last! It was by far one of the best times in my life.
I brought my own trash bags and the only thing that bothered me on the ground was the horse crap.
The security and searches were easier than I thought they would be.
I'm not sure about the electronica music, because I wasn't there. But I would say music quality will be affected considering you are in a field with multiple other stages playing music.
Art was everywhere! On the wall, on the people, in the campsites, in the air. . . if you couldn't see all the art around you must have had your eyes closed.
I know these are the opinions of a Noob but I thought I should say them anyway. I also know that there is a good chance that in 2011 I will have a horrible time. . . it might be the weather, my neighbors, the toilets, whatever. But I would rather go and make the most of an experience with my friends than stay home and whine.
