Has anyone talked about Santana? Personally I would love to see him at the farm, not real sure how the majority would feel here...But his tour has a break starting May 1st when he plays his last u.s. show in Vegas. And then he starts up in Europe on June 24th...so plenty of time to rest up and play a night at 'roo.
Thoughts?
I think there was a thread about Santana at some point and I think he would be great. Definitely a What or Which pre-HL performance. Maybe like Weezer's spot? Not sure, but I would enjoy seeing him and it looks like it fits for his schedule.
All after top 10.. Bassnectar Drive By Truckers Warren haynes Galactic Minus the Bear Easy Star All Stars Keller Williams Matisyahu Trombone Shorty G Love Portugal the Man Umphreys Slightly stoopid OCMS
Just sayin..... if that sucks... show me good?
I count 8 above-average bands in there.
Fixed.
Warren Haynes is playing with members of the funky meters right now. They're good.
Enjoy your weekend all. I will be absent from technology until Sun at the earliest.
I have to admit I still have my fingers crossed for something as well.
Things are happening.
i like that she mentions that things are happening and she has her fingers crossed for many reasons: 1. to people who believe she is legit, this gives them hope that maybe there will be some big surprise final addition to the lineup that will blow us all away. 2. if she is legit, this means the lineup is not finished yet, which could be the cause of the hold-up, which has been speculated (by me, for one) 3. someone who has been ruled as unlikely might become likely again, which is exciting. and most importantly, 4. if she has been full of shit this whole time and any comments she made about bands NOT being there can be "justified" as being someone roo added later
if shes for real, this gets me really excited. if shes full of shit, shes a real smart lady
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

boy you sure do like talking about dicks getting blown off. I think that's the third time I've read it on this site including this one. Do you hunt by the way? Or are you joining the military soon? That's where you can go blow some dicks off.

Based in the rolling stones thread, does any else think that Sb's last post is in reference to them? Maybe 'roo has had them planned for awhile and now finds themselves in a pickle? Im not sure what all the legal stuff means at this point, but that would make more sense.
And..the next thought would be can 'roo pull their offer away and still use the money on another big name..or is it too late?

Ehh, if it came right down to it, they probably could pull the offer if they could somehow point it towards the legal issues they're going through... Finding another large band wouldn't be too hard. In 2008 the Allman bros. were scheduled to perform, but they cancelled and either on or just before first additions, WSP was added to the lineup.
heard this from the live music editor at the stl post dispatch... he knows me than me so he might have heard something @brucerazor @rftmusic regarding the Stones...we do hear they are touring later this year
i realize that bonnaroo may never have decided to release the lineup anytime soon, but everyone must admit they arent doing a lot of hyping this year up lately. this is supposed to be the big tenth anniversary, right? where is the hype machine this year? the rolling stones situation could be a reason why they are not putting out any definite information. it makes sense. so hypothetically speaking, if the lineup announcement date is not set in stone yet because a headliner needs to be finalized, which would go along with sunshinebecker's comment about crossing her fingers, what are all of our options for possible hold-ups? other than rolling stones and radiohead?

i'm with you on the no hype for a big 10 yr. i would've expected so much more from them at this time of year. i guess at the very least they're doing those flashbacks on the bonnaroo site with bands which really make me think some of those may be playing. and they're asking people about favorite sets on facebook, though i think the only one they've asked about is the late nights, don't quote me on that though. sure there's still 4 months to go but it just seems kinda odd.
if we have to wait a week or two or even a month for the hype to start building or a lineup release, i can live with it, but only if it means they're finalizing something special but not necessarily big. if there's one thing i've learned about headliner expectations, its that you can't have your sights set too high. could some of the past headliners prove this wrong? absolutely. i just think we, or maybe just i, need to accept the fact that acts like the stones, mccartney and waters will never happen. not just them but acts of that caliber. i don't know who else you'd put up there, maybe someone like bowie or even prince and u2. we have yet to see acts that big play bonnaroo. i hate to say it but those are the types that play coachella. however, i ask why and will continue dreaming until bonnaroo proves me wrong.
I think it makes sense. I'd guess a large portion of their ticket buying base doesn't pay attention to Roo until the line-up comes out so those people would just get bored waiting for an undisclosed line-up release date. Now starting when the release date is announced and every day until the festival, I'd expect tons of hyping.

I doubt String Cheese would headline. They're one of the bigger jam bands but don't have a wide enough appeal to really draw mainstream appeal. If they're one the lineup, their fans will come regardless of if they take the Sunday spot or the Friday Which LN spot.
I wouldn't be surprised, though. I have a strong confident feeling we'll see a jam band take Which LN one of the nights, either Furthur, Trey, WSP or SCI. Furthur would be nice but I'm skeptical, Trey I doubt because Phish will be touring, and WSP I think will be the Sunday headliner or not at all.
Boy, you guys are much farther off this year on your guesses than usual. First of all jakicker is right that even now, we are still waiting for 100% confirm on one of the headliners. Also, this girl you guys have been about - she knows nothing.
So before I start my annual tease, please look up my past years posts before anyone questions my credibility.
Now - where do we start.......
OK, how about with the one that everyone seems to assume - let's start by checking off Arcade Fire - you can consider them a confirm for Friday night......
After that, I'm sorry to say that most of the speculation on here is way off.....
Start thinking less about big name headliners...........
