Yep, if AC/DC is there, it will be as a headliner. They could not be anything else. Honestly, they're probably one of the biggest bands of all time, just in terms of chart hits, album sales, popularity, and longevity.
Just like everyone else, I got on today, saw a half-dozen new pages and thought for sure that something had happened...but I was very wrong.
no, ac/dc was big. just because mainstream clear channel commercial radio stations are playing their same songs they've been playing for 20+ years does not mean they are still big or even relevant.
Wrong. Their 2008 album is 2x Platinum in the US, was #1 in 29 countries, and is the second-best selling album of 2008 worldwide. Their tour in support of it is the 3rd-highest grossing tour of all time. They ARE big.
Relevance is not an issue. If it were tell me how acts like metallica booked. And don't say because of a current album. They still played mostly all older stuff. Jimmy buffett the police and allman bros could all be classified as irrelevant. So throw that relevance ish out the window. Oh yeah anyone remember Snoop-A-Loop being there?
Yeah and it was a POS. A horrible replacement of the Arcade Discotheque. That place was a godsend the first three years I went. Before I would venture out to my first show of the day, I would crash on one of the couches and take in the A/C to get some energy for the day.
No, this is not official, and I'm not claiming it to be true, so please don't lambast me. Buuutttt I just received a link to a website from a Phish(head) friend of mine with rumored Phish tour dates, and Bonnaroo was listed. This may not mean shiz; I'm just passing on the information. However, I hope to God it's true!!! ;D

Is it safe to say it's too early for Phish to come back? They are on the scene, phan phavorites, still relevant, and it would be so easy to put Phish and Panic on the bill and sell tons of tickets for the "chillest festival ever brah"....I can see it, but I'd rather not think about it. Taking 2 slots 2 years ago should be enough for now.

i see no reason why phish won't play. so they played 2 shows in one year 2 years ago. would playing 1 show, presumably sunday closer, at the 10th anniversary be different or could they offer something more in 1 show than they gave us with 2 in 09? maybe not but it's possible. they could put together something like halloween 94. i don't know. i'm not a diehard nor have i ever followed them around from show to show but i like their music and enjoy their show. and they're 1 of 3 big dawgs in the jam scene that would/could be a great way to end bonnaroo year after year.
