After an 18 hour nap and a little gatorade I feel like a million bucks. Didnt bathe in the sulfur water tho or really drink from the water stations. Ready to go for Forecastle.

I knew by Monday morning the Bonnaflu was starting to hit, I tweaked my back in a fierce way loading up the gear on the way out so I had shooting nerve pain down my left leg ever step I took, I didn't wear my knee brace after Thursday night because it was so hot so my right knee is about to fall off, and... I can't wait for 2011! Bugger the consequences, you either Bonnaroo or you don't.
I stayed home from work today. Really bad diarrhea. It's four days later so I don't know if it's related, but I do now when I got back home on Monday I was extremely dehydrated.
I think this is a respiratory bug. I first felt it in my throat. Then it moved to the rest of my body, and into my bowels. If it was GI related to nasty portos, which they were disgusting, it would have caused us all to have the shits in a day or less.
I am back to 100% after the weekend. It took a few days of laying low, amidst work, lots of water and a little herbal enhancement. The only problem I had this year, and I think it has been attributed to the pesticides in the grass, was a halfway decent rash on my left leg, just above my achilles a short way up my calf. It's completely gone now but caused a little concern while on the farm.
Also, each year we have a round plastic pan/bucket thing we use each 'Roo for cold cooler water and sore feet. This year was unlike any other aside from the fact that I stepped in it Friday evening and was bitten by a nasty looking spider. Left fang marks and everything. I freaked out at first cuz all I could think of was 'Brown Recluse,' but to my delight it ended up being a little wolf spider or something cuz my foot is still attached haha. Anyways, I had an amazing time again this year, 'Roo had it's discrepancies [the portos, heat, gaggle of people, etc] but that is all to be semi-expected. Can't wait till '11!!

My problems pretty much ran the gamut of whats been posted. I thought I did pretty good with the whole hand sanitizer deal....but I guess not! I still have a cough and mucus...and some body aches. Believe me...what I feel now is nothing compared to the pain I endured Wednesday. It felt worse than the flu. I was pretty much incapacitated asleep in my room with a 102 fever. Luckily my sister came back home to check on me and gave me a nice dose of aspirin which broke the fever. (What goes around comes around. I missed Isis playing one of their last shows ever. I had to check on her when she went all Leno heatstroke and had to get a ride out early.) On top of the whole illness thing...my emotions were all out of whack due to a few different reasons. (Matt and the Leno really) So I was crying in my room by myself most of the waking day, but I am much better now. Would I do it again? You bet! Volunteer next year GO GO!

Still feelin' it! I gotta fart real bad but I'm afraid if I do I'll $hit my pants.
Both people I went with have all the symptoms described on this board. One bad enough to stay home from work. My GF was puking her guts out Wednesday night.

I'm almost positive no one got sick from unsanitary conditions at Bonnaroo (portos, drinking water, fountain water, etc...). People in India uses shitters worse than that every day and are healthier than we are. Most people got sick from over exterted themselves for 4-5 days straight. Plus all of the festy food can't be good for your digestive tract. I eat crap all of the time, so my body is used to it. I work two jobs and party all of the time as well. I bounced back after Roo, no problem. I just relaxed every day after work and didn't go out until last Saturday. I was tired but not sick at all. I hope you all feel better.

living in florida for the past 7 years has dried out my sinus'. soon as i was in tennessee again i couldnt breathe through my nose, still got a catch if i laugh, start coughing like i need new lungs... sure it will break up soon, and the pollen is out here too soo, yay summer!
"living in florida for the past 7 years has dried out my sinus"
What? I could see living in AZ or New Mexico drying out your sinuses, but Florida is humid as hell. Too much moisture in the air in Florida. Sounds like you had a reaction to pollen or something that clogged up your respiratory tract.

mmm /agree scrog... in florida i just dont get the clogged sensation, but this is pollen season...then again there might have been mold at my friends in va.
Yeah Ive been rockin the loose stool thing since roo, finally kinda getting back to normal. Broke out in some sort of fucking bumps up and down my arms, not really anywhere else. Was scared it was a parasite. Girl I went with got a nasty ass fever (100+) and coughing and was down for a couple days after roo.
I only ate vegan food which I'm used to, but I did indulge in some things I don't usually indulge in, so who knows. It's all worth it though =) Minus the dude who got Hep A. That aint worth it

Except that the odds are a lot greater he got it well before Bonnaroo. I do remember when there was a parasite following the SCI crowd around, some kind of worm that came in through the bottom of your feet if you were dancing barefoot in contaminated mud.

This was my first year not smoking cigarettes at bonnaroo, and it helped a ton! Actually today is one year to the day since I quit smoking ciggs. The past two roos I Probably went threw over a pack a day. This year I felt much better after roo bc the green stuff doesn't seem to have as bad of an effect on my lungs.
lost my voice on Saturday, but it was back by Sunday morning. I'm blaming that on the disgusting number of cigarettes I consumed. The past couple of years, I got the Bonnoflu bad. Coughing up dust for days and all around just feeling Leno-y. Combination of not eating well, not sleeping well, too much sun, not enough water, the dust and well, detox.
