Is what bonnaroo is lacking. Why still have it at that time of year? Are you just ignoring and denying global warming? One of our dear friends lost his life this year due to this simple lack of common sense. If you're going to continue to have it during the weekend where the weather is most abusive, at least provide an abundance of hydration. Am I blaming the death of Matt solely on Bonnaroo alone? No. Do I think the Bonnaroo organizers got way too greedy with their priceless water, lacked logistics in temperature preperation and was mostly responsbile for the death of a good man? Most definitely.
I didn't see any lack of hydration. I probably drank at least a gallon of water a day, and I never had more than a couple minute wait to get water. The filtered water often had lines, (although no more than a few minutes) but the well water always moved very quickly, even on Sunday. Anyways, there was shade and water. Obviously this year was hotter than most, but it was still doable. Frankly I would love to see Bonnaroo move about 400 miles north, but that ain't happening. I just don't see what else you expect Bonnaroo to do to control the heat.
I do feel really bad for anyone who died because of the heat. I don't want to sound like a jerk in my post. However, I do feel that there was more than enough water and shade to make it through.
Me: Did you say Retarded Steve was playing tonight? Boo: No, I have a speech impediment. I said that Retarded Steve is playing. www.411mania.com/siteimages/jcs logo_25254.jpg[/img] Check out Jam Central Station on Facebook on.fb.me/bT2xQx and @jamcentral411 on Twitter

Really? We're trying to pin this guy's death on the promoters and further your bullsh!t "Bonnaroo promoters are greedy" argument you've been trying to push here since before the fest? That's low.
Roo had plenty of water this year as usual. This death was no more the promoters' fault than any other death on the farm in years past. Seriously, dude, low.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I have to agree that I think solutions to overheating were available, and believe me, I am NOT a person who likes heat!
I found shade everywhere I went and it was quite comfortable, and I never had a problem with water as others had mentioned. Yes, there was typically a line but it moved pretty fast.
The weather is bound to differ year to year - a few degrees here and there. So, some years will be more unbearably hot than others, but there were places to find shade, sit down, lay down, catch some a/c, cool off, etc.
Worse comes to worse, you jump in the fountain - works every time.
Yea, you know your going to bonnaroo. Bring more water then you need. I didnt get asked once to dump out my backpack. If they did, i had sealed bottles. If you didnt have water it was becaused you ddnt plan for bonnaroo.
