I disagree. I used Eyes Wide Shut on purpose, because it was released after Kubrick died. Like The Lost Episodes were released after Chappelle quit. And neither product is bad, it's just not indicative of the quality of everything else they did, and there's an added eerie or disappointing element because they were released after Kubrick and Chappelle died and quit, respectively. I stand by my comparison.
I would be more excited for Dave Chappelle than any possible band AC/S could book including Radiohead, NY, and McCartney.
I can't get my head around this. I wouldn't choose Richard Prior and Belushi over either band you listed. To each his own but I wouldn't be at Roo for any reason other than the music. Waiting in line for that comedy tent just seemed crazy to me when there was music to hear.
I know Radiohead played 2006, but I think they would make a perfect big headliner for a Fri night What stage show representing the rock genre. Their last CD was amazing, and I'm pretty sure a new album is coming out late 2010 or early 2011 which would also fuel the crowd/vibe.
I see the Deftones listed above as desired to play, but I have to say that after seeing them multiple times I personally think they really suck hard playing live. I love their studio albums, and though it disappoints me to say so, they just aren't that great sounding live (and the show isn't that spectacular). This is with attending their shows over the last decade, and I personally haven't seen any noticeable improvement in their live performance (again, CDs are different). They are one of the rare bands where I much prefer their studio work over live work.
I would love to see String Cheese play Roo for the 10th anniversary. I still listen to the live Roo set from 2007.
I can't wait to see the lineup for the 2011 Roo. I'm just hope my expectations aren't set too high (they're pretty high right now...or is that me? hmm....)

Really?
Well I've always loved them live but like the above poster said, they've improved their live shows. Saw them 2 days ago and they blew me away like always. They had the crowd going nuts. I'll admit chino slips up a little once and a while. and he can't always reproduce some of the more long-winded verses live. But his stage presence is off the charts crazy and it's just a great fun show.
With the latest rumor being the best of, I foresee this:
Friday:
What:
Beck>Radiohead>Pearl Jam (LN)
Which:
My Morning Jacket
Saturday:
What:
White Stripes>U2 (fans choice)>Furthur (LN)
Which:
Primus
Sunday:
Galactic>Allman Bros>Widespread Panic>Phish
U2 - Radiohead - Phish - Pearl Jam - Furthur - Widespread Panic - Allman Brothers - The White Stripes - My Morning Jacket - Beck - Primus - Galactic
i'd bet money on this one being it.
I'll bet you any amount of money that there won't be seven headliners.
Honestly, what is wrong with you people? Pearl Jam billed fourth, after being billed first two years ago? White Stripes going from 4th to 8th? My Morning Jacket headlining other festivals and actually moving DOWN the roo line up? This board is setting itself up for massive disappointment.

It's not diverse enough. I would like this lineup, but there are no electronic, rap, R&B, or even metal artists in the top 10. The lineup can't just consist of jam bands, classic rock bands, and indie rock. This couldn't be the lineup.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

Yes yes yes yes yes yes, Airline. Looks good to me. Only thing I would do would be to switch Massive Attack for Daft Punk (I know that's a big add, but I need to see Daft Punk; I'm already seeing Massive Attack at Moog). Other than that, would not change much at all from your lineup. Well done.
Okay, I tell you in advance that I suck at the who is a bigger headliner than who but we started a wishlist in the car on the way home this year (it's 10 hours we had loads of time). Metal and electronic are our weaknesses so with that in mind here goes
Lily Allen Allman Brothers (Sunday night close out?) Alison Krauss and Union Station Arcade Fire Avett Brothers Balkan Beat Box Devendra Banhart Bela Fleck (doing whatever the hell he wants) Blondie Corrine Bailey Rae Carolina Chocolate Drops George Clinton and P-Funk (can't believe we haven't seen him on the farm) Les Claypool (he doesn't ever actually leave the farm does he?) Joe Cocker Black Crowes Eric Clapton Leonard Cohen Daft Punk Dangermouse and Sparklehorse Dead Prez Decemberists DEVO DJ Lance Rock Decemberists Neil Diamond Bob Dylan La Excelendia Mike Farris and the Roseland Rhythm Revue Foo Fighters Peter Gabriel G Love and Special Sauce Gogol Bordello J J Grey and Mofro Gnarls Barkley Green Day Hammell on Trial Hoots and Hellmouth The Reverend Horton Heat (seriously a perfect fit) Indigo Girls Wyclef Jean (probably too busy in Haiti) Jet Billy Joel Sharon Jones and who ever she wants to bring Judas Priest Katzenjammer Lady Gaga (late night) Macy Gray Jenny and Johnny Ray LaMontagne Queen Latifah Annie Lennox Huey Lewis (we have no idea what he'd do, but what the hell) Los Lobos Paul McCartney Keb Mo Van Morrisson Mumford and Sons (missed them this year) Muse My Chemical Romance of Montreal Old Crow Medicine Show Ozomatli (yes I know but I love them Dolly Parton Pearl Jam or Eddie Vedder Solo Tom Petty Pimps of Joytime Playing for Change Polyphonic Spree Ra Ra Riot Bonnie Raitt Red Hot Chili Peppers Lou Reed (possibly doing something with Laurie Anderson) Robert Randolph Henry Rollins Slavic Soul Party Sigur Ros Paul Simon Todd Snider Spoon Stone Temple Pilots String Cheese Incident Sufjan Stevens Taj Mahal The Hackensaw Boys The Strokes Tea Leaf Green Susan Tedeschi Theivery Corporation Them Crooked Vultures Paul Thorn Toubab Krewe U2 Vampire Weekend Keller Williams Suzanne Vega Tom Waits Doc Watson Amy Winehouse Steve Winwood The Who Wu Tang Clan Yonder Mountain String Band
Comedy - Saturday Night Live All-Stars
And finally, return of the Superjam, opening What on Saturday - Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Smokey Robinson. Session players to be determined.
Like I said, more of a wishlist than a line up. Let the shredding begin.
I'll bet you any amount of money that there won't be seven headliners.
