I would rather have NY+CH than NY+MMJ. But like brew was saying I'll take my Neil anyway I can get him.
What about this choice:
NY solo .vs. NY + MMJ
One of the reasons I suggested NY + MMJ was because it would be one of those "once in a lifetime" type things that makes Roo feel special. I don't think it would ever actually happen. Just my selfish thoughts.
I don't think a full NY w/ MMJ set would be as good as a NY & CH show. Or a regular, MMJ show, honestly. Them playing a little on each others' sets would be really cool, I'd just rather have a MMJ show, and a Neil Young show.

i agree. i'd rather get both, seperate.
it could definitely work though if MMJ preheadlined and towards the end Neil came out and played with them and then it slowly morphed into his own solo show.
So apparently the new album is called Le Noise. It's Neil with no band. I don't know if he'll tour into the new year with a band or not, but I think if he's playing Bonnaroo he should have a band.
If you are a serious Neil Young fan or are trying to figure out which Neil album to check out next, go take a look at (and vote in) this week's best album poll:
The first time I listened to that this morning I wasn't all that impressed. Then I realized that it was one of those things that needed to be listened to at ear numbing volumes. I was right. Really some very interesting stuff. Can't wait to here the rest.
